Great German beers on tap in a real German atmosphere. Had the goulash tonight which was listed as a special. It was served over the spaetzel. Enough food for 2 people to share. Pretty tasty. Atmosphere is loud as you would expect in a busy biergarten for a Saturday evening.

This place is already crowded enough. It's a legitimate beer spot and the food is pretty good. No TV's - that's my favorite part. Can be a little noisy

First, you'll never find this place. It's in the back of a nick-nack store, and it always looks to be closed. Luckily, if you try to go here and can't find it, you can go to City Pub across the street. Second, it's a fun but peculiar atmosphere. Sausage and real german beer, as if you're actually in germany. Beer... More

Just ate here tonight and had a fun time. The place has many home brew beers and good, authentic german food too. It is similar to Oktoberfest, as in you seat in a group setting at large tables and drink good, large beers. They have a wide selection of beers on tap and a good food menu as well. this... More

At the back of a really excellent German imports store, there is a small German gasthaus with really wonderful beers from German-speaking countries. They combine this with a small, but traditional selection of simple German snacks and foods. My wife and went there in our first week here and I have been back several times. Good fun and great beer.

If you're in the mood for brats and beer (or German pretzels with mustard), you can't do any better in Redwood City. Wide range of German beers and a simple wurst-oriented menu. Seating area around the bar and out back under the awning is rustic, but if you're looking for elegant surroundings, you're in the wrong place. Store in front... More

We live in the Sacramento area and have searched and searched for good German Food restaurants in our area. And there are some, but we keep widening our search and we lucked into the Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, which is about two hours away from us, but very close to San Francisco. A first it just seems like... More
