Short rib sous vide? YES!

Since it opened Martins West has had excellent food! Chef Michael and his crew do not let grass grow on the menus! If you go and they have the short ribs and you eat meat, order this. They sous vide them so they are rare- MR cooked inside and seared to almost painful deliciousness. Why painful... read more

Monthly lunch outing with a friend, we ventured to this Scottish themed pub (more emphasis on restaurant than bar). What a lucky find! The service was prompt and helpful, patiently answering any questions we had about food prep or choice. The Ploughman was, by far, one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. 3 nicely blended cheeses on... More

We joined our son who is a local resident for this experience so he helped us navigate the diverse and very well concocted dishes and cocktail delights. I had the pork fat back dinner and we shared several of the special cocktails like the featured Scalawag...TASTY. Give it a try....lots of room to find and try different food with fresh... More

If you love hamburgers, this is the best grass fed beef hamburger, with its glazed onion and bacon topping. It was the most delicious hamburger I have ever had. Every bite was flavorful. Adding the sliced pickle to the hamburger did not take away the flavor. It totally enhanced it. For dessert, I had the butterscotch, caramel de creme. Like... More

This bar is terrific old-time stuff: kids in booster seats (at 5 pm anyway), old ladies, work colleagues, hipsters, good-looking 30-somethings, and lots of interesting cocktails, beers on tap, wines by the glass, and helpful waiters. The diversity is compelling The food is on-again off-again: one night I sent back my dinner 2 times, another lunch (mainly the pates--which are... More

I've eaten at Martin's for a couple lunches in the past, and was expecting an expensive lunch, but at least one that would be tasty and satisfying. Today's lunch special was roast duck breast, $17. I asked the server how the dish was prepared and was told that the duck breast was sliced and plated with the accompaniments. I wasn't... More

We recently went out for a company dinner here and were all pretty happy with the service, drinks, and food. They have a huge list of beer choices and cocktails. I tried the Moscow Mule which had ginger beer and vodka and thought it was very tasty. They serve them in little copper cups which keep the drink cold for... More

I liked everything about Martins West! Very unique foods with amazing flavors. Interesting and fun drink menu. The wait staff is very informative and one can tell that they enjoy working there and are proud of their food and drink.

Been here several times and the wife and I always split the burger and the mac & cheese. Last night I even had the bone marrow which was very good. We just love the burger they serve here. They also have a very good selection of imported & micro beers on tap. This pub does remind me of Scotland that... More

I've returned here several times in the last few years. I have girlfriend who lives in this town, it's her favorite local bar and has become mine too, every visit. The food Is interesting and delicious. I recently enjoyed the fish and chips as well as Hagis on a stick (highly recommended). The bar staff is terrific, we always sit... More
