Fusion European-Californian

This is an eclectic restaurant. As you walk in, you will see a typical Southern Californian outdoor dining area, enter a sports bar-like spot before being led to a quiter dining room. The food ranges from modern small plates to traditional European and American comfort food. The menu changes daily.

Family and I went here for brunch; food was pretty good: -mixed mushroom plate was flavorful and decadent (butter sauce) -fried chicken & french toast (i think): chicken was tender, batter was crunchy -eggs panchitos: brother said it was good -french toast: didn't taste it, but looked a bit burnt and lifeless. Dad and aunt liked it ok -bacon pecan... More

Went here on a Monday night so it wasn't very crowded. Menu changes daily. I had the Sicilian Spaghetti that was super flavorful. Veal Osso Buco was very tender and coupled with the gnocchi were very filling. Service was great. Extensive wine and beer list. Lots of craft beers, both on tap and in bottles.

Every time I try something new here I am simply amazed by the talents of their fine chefs. They are not afraid to try things and they listen to their diners to tweak or remove the item as needed.

Enjoyed the variety of choices on the menu, which leads to the five stars, all of entrees were well prepared and presented. Service also was efficient. We enjoyed oysters on the half shell and Hamachi sashimi for small plates. Our entrees included, osso buco, a lamb risotto with a dill yogurt sauce, and a Spanish seafood stew, Zarzuela. All extremely... More

The menu is very descriptive and makes you want it all! We were a party of 7. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. I noticed the owner standing to the side as if in anticipation of any diners need. They truly made us feel welcome and that they appreciate their clientele. The food was delicious and prepared to... We were visitors and our friends took us to this quaint restaurant. We had wonderful service...everyone was so enthusiastic and caring! Two of us had the rack of lamb with pesto...two of my favorite foods. It was wonderful, but, IMHO, the pesto wasn't necessary. Wine recommendations were excellent and they brought out extra glasses so we could taste before ordering.... More

I knew of the "old" Chez Melange, but I had never visited the new location since they established themselves in their new digs 6 years ago. Boy did we miss out!!!! We were celebrating our anniversary and from the reservation process to the moment we were greeted it was just phenomenal. The owner graciously greeted us and took us to... More
