Chez Melange consists of three concepts in one. Bouzy's is an English Stule pub serving great bar food with UK twist. Great beers, wine, and specialty cocktails. Chez Melange is the fine dining part in the back. What an amazing menu!! Fresh fish, crab, oysters, sashimi, local farmed meats and veggies. The menu is very creative and delicious!! It's perfectly... More

A restaurant within the Chez Melange not to miss. Terrific service and some awesome food. Went for dinner with family. One of THE BEST places I have ever ate. Everything is made fresh. A different menu all the time. Chef Diane loves what she is doing in satisfying the customers's palate. A very warm personality who really does care about... More

Tucked way in the back of Chez is a little restaurant in a restaurant. Chef Diane (and Jen on Tuesdays) seriously crank out some tasty food on their little burner behind the bar. Fresh farm to table choices, exotic flavor blends awaken the senses to a whole new level. Get there early for a table. :)

Chez Melange was the "it" place in the Beach Cities back in the 90s-- innovative, delicious, and reliably great for special occasion family dinners. We revisited it last weekend for the first time in several years, and Chez Melange did not disappoint. A couple of negatives: our waiter was overbearing (but friendly!), and offered a taste of the wine I... More

There were 8 of us for a special dinner, and we were well taken care of by a personable and knowledgeable waiter. And every one of us raved about the food we had ordered. Would certainly go to Chez Melange again when I'm in Southern California.

Tired place with drunk waiter would have been tolerable. But bad expensive food is not. Had the lamb - not seasoned and bad cut- with sweet cherry sauce almost inedible given the sweetness. Restaurant needs serious update - bad smell and not all that clean. Companion had a veal dish - over breaded and tasteless - with noodles no seasoning... More

The food was terrible. All 60's style food, so tired . Also it was after the World Cup and our waiter was drunk! Which would not be so bad but he was out of every affordable wine and kept pushing for the very expensive one. Worst meal ever!!!! Don't eat here!

Ate in the Bar Comida part of the restaurant and tried dishes from both menus. Loved the small plates and heirloom, locally-grown veggies - food was inventive and very delicious. Our server was a little distracted but all in all a very nice meal in a convivial atmosphere.

Even though the new location is no longer new and is better, I miss the "old location". The food is still good and the service excellent, however. It is great place for lunch as well as dinner. The fried chicken salad will always be my favorite.

Fir a unique dinner party for friends or business, Chez cannot be beat. Call in advance and ask for oibert Bell head chef and owner to make a chefs choice dinner. You will have something special. Service excellent. Quiet room ambiance fine if not spectacular.
