We picked this restaurant based solely on Trip Advisor reviews and are glad we did. We ate there last night, and it was terrific. We had a reservation at 8:00 that was promptly honored, and we had a nice table near the back of the main dining room. The service was really excellent, and the food was really quite good.... More

We must have gone on a night when the chefs were on vacation. Food was actually sub par. I ordered the red snapper as did my friend. We both found it lacking. The fish arrived with a sweet potato garnish that was tough and chewy; the flesh of the fish had the consistency of fish that had been frozen and... More

Staying at the Best Western next door and just arriving from the East coast, Ortega 120 is about 100 meters away. Worth the walk. It's a lot like a neighborhood restaurant, lots of nice, happy, fun conversations going on. They have a great mole sauce, which we got on the advice of the waitperson. Guacamole - first class. We asked... More

My wife & I ate here recently for dinner based off the online reviews. Sure glad we went! Fun ambience; colorfully decorated. The roasted brussel sprouts were outstanding. Just delicious. She enjoyed the 5 types of tacos & I love my skirt steak with shrimp. Just yummy & unique flavors all around. We'll return for sure. Great service too- very... More

We've stayed next door at the Best Western for years, but we'd never thought to check out the restaurant. We wished we'd come sooner! As soon as you walk in, there's a lady to your right making tortillas by hand, and when you order them, you can tell the difference fresh tortillas make. From the chips to the street tacos... More

We were a group of 5 and we all ordered something different. Not a disappointed person in the bunch. The pitcher of Margaritas (on the rocks)) was good, however the glass served with it was a bit on the small side. After a pour of drink with ice and a few sips the glass was empty quickly. Food was delicious.... More

The best Mexican food and Margaritas we have had in the LA area. The atmosphere is great for a group of friends. The service is great. Be sure to get the pitcher of Margaritas. The waiter pours the tequila into the pitcher on front of you and mixes it with juices. No grainy mix here. Also, a woman forms and... More

Was looking for some good Mexican food close to Manhattan Beach last night. Was told to try Ortega 120 or Riviera Redondo. On a whim, we chose Ortega 120. This restaurant reminded me of one you might find in Santa Fe, NM. Very upscale Mexican. Very artistic decor, dark red walls, wooden tables, lots of crosses and skulls....nicely done. Our... More

The "Cobb" salad was delicious and so was the guacamole - for my taste a little more salt would have made it close to perfect. The "Tacos Tour" - 5 different style tacos (asado beef, pork, tuna, poultry and shrimps) - was good although I would have expected a more sophisticated seasoning. We ordered a strawberry and a mango margarita... More

Wow, definitely must try ! Very unique menu and the 4 of us all had different dishes and loved them all. The pitchers of margaritas were wonderful (tried the lime and the mango). It is noisy, but the food makes it all worth it. Loved it so much, we went back for Sunday brunch. Can't recommend it enough. But it... More
