Me gusta mucho!

I had heard many good things about ortega 120 but never had the desire to go because of the location and the parking situation. Well that was a mistake. We were invited by friends that frequent the establishment regularly and swore by the ambience the food and cocktails. They were right. The decor... read more

First the "day of the dead" decor was just off putting to me. Not a place for a relaxing meal either. Loads of children there the night we went. So good if you are looking for a place to take small children but we were not. The food was good, solid Mexican fare but not great. The service was efficient... More

Loved this restaurant! The food was very authentic tasting and delicious. The waiter had a smile on his face the entire time and was very helpful with suggestions and help. If I lived locally, this would be a regular restaurant that I would frequent. If you are a traveller to the area, do yourself a favor and pop in some... More

My husband and I were staying at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes for vacation. We wanted to try some other restaurants in the area, and after doing a little online searching, stumbled upon this restaurant in the reviews. We decided to give it a shot and drove over to Redondo Beach. We had lunch there - and were happy... More

Ortega 120 reminds us of our time in Mexico City where we dined at truly fabulous restaurants that had delicious food, friendly and attentive service, beautiful décor and lively ambience. Yes, the service can be improved upon, but the food and overall experience is truly exceptional and the best you will find in the area. We highly recommend the enchiladas... More

This restaurant has been around a while but went there until this week. Easy parking, nice ambience (a little loud) and a great Happy Hour all night in the bar on Mondays! HH food was good a reasonably priced. The margaritas looked tasty. They pour the alcohol in the drink in front of you. I wish I could say perfect... More

We stopped in an hour before they closed and had to track down someone to seat us since no one was either at the door or bar. The food was great when it arrived. The Mole Pollo was perfect. The burrito wss just as good. We sat eating and watching the staff yakking with their friends or regulars. We were... More

We recently tried this hidden gem on the recommendation of a friend. We started with the standard margarita (pitcher) complete with the "shut up" (a carafe of tequila that is added to the mix of orange juice and lime). This was followed by the chips and delicious quest fundido. I had the tour de taco served on homemade corn tortillas... More

This restaurant was very close to our hotel and we initially avoided it as it looked like one of those "themed" chain-style restaurants (visions of the interior being plastered with Frida Kahlo-esque imagery). One night, however, we were feeling lazy and caved. The hostess was rather surly and almost caused us to change our mind, but thankfully everyone else was... More

The guacamole was the best we've every had. I had the short rib enchiladas and Robert had the short ribs. Both awesome. Will come again next time I'm in LA
