Was just here for my bday & strongly advise not having large parties there. They have you sign a contract telling you it's to hold the table but then it's really so they can charge you $20 for every person that does not show. Also they over charge for each person & then give some bogus minimum you have to... More

I have had the opportunity to dine at Baleens since March 2013 when I have stayed at the Portofino property and attend USC Center for Effective Organization workshops at the onsite conference center. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Most recently I had dinner there in June of 2014. Service has been mixed. My first couple of visits... More

Excellent steak dishes, can recommend the filet steak with asparagus and Berlinger Merlot. Attentive service, beautiful ocean views. Quite pricey, but good value for steak choices.

While staying at the portofino, an easy walk to this harbor front restaurant. Nice apps. Sliders, calamari, and yes, as other reviewers have said, very, very good burgers! Nice wine list as well.

Trust me, it's worth the clogged artery. Just work out pre burger. The rest of the menu/food was above average. Nothing fancy, simple, good.

This is a beautiful spot for brunch, especially for a special occasion. The restaurant is really pretty and has a great view overlooking the Redondo marina. The food was good, but I was surprised that their brunch menu was so small. But, they do have bottomless mimosas and a bloody mary bar.

We had a very enjoyable dinner with another couple at Baleen. Food was flavorful, well presented and almost great. If anything, I hold South Bay food to a higher standard since we tend to get crappier service down here. Such was not the case at Baleen. Pleased all around.

I only went once to this restaurant by recommendation on a friday night. The main room was very noisy with a direct performing but I was accomodated in a secondary room very quiet close to the window. I ordered a beef spare rib and have to say that it was a fantastic piece of meet, tender and very tasty sided... More

In advanced my son in law requested a nice table (for six) for his wife's birthday. They were seated right inside the entrance...The food was quite good but the waitress was distracted and kept going outside for some reason. She didn't listen to the answers to her questions about whether we needed anything. Good thing the group made the time... More

Ricotta Pancakes were real yummy. Omelete and potatoes were delicious. The view of the marina was quite nice. The Bloody Mary bar looked very enticing but we had to drive so did not par-take.There was a cozy fire in the bar area that just lured you in if you had time.
