No frills, just super-fresh seafood

So much fun. You pick live seafood (Dungeness crab, in my case), buy a loaf of sourdough, a pint of Anchor Steam, and crab a concrete seat while waiting. Let your hair down and give it a shot - you don't be sorry.

Pick out your favorite filets or shellfish, and they will steam, saute or fry for you. Fun to grab the newspapers and your cervesa, spread out the paper for your tablecloth, and wait for the light-show vibrating gizmo to let you know it's ready. Right on the dock, watch the sunset colors and stroll on the pier afterwards.

This was my 10th visit and counting, always feels like the first time when it comes to the excitement! Their only problem is with the restrooms, they're freaking dirty whatever how hard they try to clean them.. Grilled trout is simply amazing! Shrimp with vegetables, steamed santa barbara female crabs are more than delicious.. I never get enough of that... More

If you like me love seafood this is heaven. Such a wide selection to choose from. We enjoyed a few Oyster Shooters, and bought some fresh Yellow Tail that we took home and grilled on the barby. It was melt in your mouth buttery fantastic. Not a fancy restaurant but a family friendly place to enjoy crabs, clams, lobster. They... More

We wanted to spend a fun day at Redondo Pier. We ate here where we could choose our fresh seafood which they cooked on the spot. The variety of seafood choices were amazing...from the many types of fish to crab varieties, lobsters, shellfish and even sea urchins! They steam or fry your choices. Workers were friendly and helpful. We didn't... More

Honestly, there isn't a seafood that these people don't have, and they will cook it for you just about any way that you ask. They have about 10 different types of crabs, including Maryland blues (my hometown!), but they also have exotic Asian seafood and fish galore. It's worth a trip to see, even if you don't want to buy... More

I think you are paying for the real estate here since you can buy fresh seafood for less at other locations. If you like the casual harbor esthetic, this is a neat little place. Also helps if you are not a clean freak as the place is a bit run down. Seafood is good to excellent, but not outstanding.

What's great about this place is that it's by the water...the source of the product they sell here! It's seafood and it's fresh so prices are gonna be a little higher.

Defiantly fresh, The local seafood which I wanted to try was double the price of eastern seafood. I don't know how people afford to eat there. It was good you serve yourself and spread newspaper all over the table and rent little wooden mallets to smash. Good but seafood is way too expensive more than in nova scotia and even... More
