This place is just across from Redlands Krikorian cinemas. Its a small, West-Indian style place which grew out of a successful catering business. Dhat chicken is their signature dish, served with beans and rice and fried plantains. I liked the oxtail soup, and the goat as well. They are friendly but a bit slow so leave enough time if you... On our recent trip to Redlands, I wanted to try something different. I had read about Dhat Island, and because I do love Caribbean and Creole food, I thought this would be a great place to try even though I wondered if it would be authentic - Yep, it sure is. First - do not be put off by the... More

if you can't fly there, eat there. Two visits, and four different choices have placed this restaurant on our list of favorites. Hosts are welcoming and gracious, and food is outstanding. We will definitely be back.

I had the Caribbean Shell Salad. Very tasty. The parking was a surprise. The lot is about 50 yards from the restaurant. Not a bad walk but I had to loop around to get back to the parking lot.

A group of 6 of us had a business lunch here and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Caribbean Shell Salad. I absolutely loved it. Yummy beans and rice, very fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and delicious dhat chicken (spiced, but not spicy). I would happily order it again, but must admit I was eyeing my colleague's bourbon chicken and... More

Salmon, the portobello mushroom, and the avocado salad are all awesome! For dessert, you must try the citrus pound cake or beignets! For a side...sweet plantains are my favorite :-)

We went here for the first time last week. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was unique and could easily be shared with a friend. Don't miss the plantains or the beignets. They don't serve alcohol here but their beverages were tasty and frequently re-filled.

We had dinner as a group of 20 people shine we were having meetings, Food was good, I am Cuban and live in Florida where are a lot of restaurants like this one, I found that Dhat Island does not use a lot of flavor spices (not heat), I guess they are doing this for the Californians since they are... If you are into different types of food this is a great place to go, I really do not know any other place were they sell it. I like this restaurant when I am bored of the same. It is very clean , nice environment.
