I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, as I had heard about it and seen it advertised. The service was very dry, and our waiter kept forgetting to bring out what we had ordered. When we first walked in, the place smelt amazing, but the steak just didn't do justice. I will not be returning.

I've been there probably 5 times for dinner, when they first opened they were really trying to compete with Jack's, with big 16 oz NYs,then their NYs shrunk down to 14 oz.Now they've shrunk down to 12 oz ( I bet it was smaller)But anyways, they tried to upsell me to a higher quality NY for more $$ and it was 10... This was my first time here for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices. Very reasonable. $50.00 for the 2 of us. We did not have anything from the bar. We both had steaks. They were cooked perfectly and tasty. The service was good.

I've lived in Redding for almost 40 years and this was my first meal at the Market Street Steakhouse. Service was great and the salad was good. The steak I ordered was the choice New York. It had a large streak of gristle. Others at the table had the same experience. For a restaurant that calls itself a steakhouse, this... More

Had lunch there yesterday--ordered the Kobe sliders. My lunch was actually 1 star, but I gave them 3 because this is generally good place. Anyway--if you're going to sell 3 Kobe sliders for $10 you'd at least try to make them seem like you eating something from prime beef. These sliders were overcooked--cooked all the way through--and the overall item... More

Me and my beautiful fiance had a wonderful experience here. We did not have reservations but were taken straight to a small booth, perfect for two people. The server was not super attentive, but she did a good job. We ordered a bottle of wine, a Malbec, and the calamari to get us started. The lighting was dark and there... More

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with a party of 8. Food was very good, nice wine menu, and great service. Would definitely go there again.

We were visiting from out of town and we arrived without reservations (our hotel had recommended this restaurant) and there was an event going on at the theatre down the street so the restaurant was very busy. We were met promptly and as luck would have it there was a table for two open. Service was very good even though... More

I usually don't like to pay a ton for steak when eating out as I cook a pretty mean steak at home. I was reluctant to eat dinner here because the prices are higher than I would like BUT - it was a special occasion and we wanted a nice place to eat. My hb and I spotted the specials... More

Sat night out on my own. Awesome shrimp tacos - a meal on it's own. Super service at the bar. Enjoyed the A/C on a HOT day. Friendly people who connect with locals and visitors.
