Great Chinese food in a small town

Peter Chu's is a very good restaurant serving very good Chinese specialties. Everything was hot, appealing and the portions were huge. The soup dumplings said it all - they were fresh and tasty, setting the stage for our enjoyment of the rest of the dinner. I'm going back - next week.

My husband and I visited Peter Chu's last night. He for the first time and myself in a great while. The first thing you are greeted with is extraordinarily good cooking smells along with friendly hosts. We were seated quite quickly and greeted by our very friendly waitress. She took our our orders and we were promptly served each course.... More

Wonderful staff and personal service. We enjoyed another memorable dinner with friends Saturday evening. The drinks are honest and they don't skimp on the portions. (Even the glass of wine is filled to the brim) Appetizers are fabulous: esp. The potstickers and fried prawns-which are flattened, then breaded and fried. Our mains were: garlic lobster-to die for, walnut prawns, and... More

While the distance to Peter Chu's is a bit of a hike from town, we've always been rewarded with a pleasant dining experience. On our last visit, we were flying out of town on Valentines day and of course the place was packed just ten minutes after opening, but we found the staff cheerful as usual, super attentive, and the... Great dinner at the airport in Redding! Food was tasty and well prepared. I enjoyed the flavors on the lamb dishes; well spiced and good mixture of meat and vegetables. Also had a scallop dish-quality seafood and no fishy taste. Would definitely recommend for families as it is very open and has lots of big tables. Fairly noisy but fun... More

I am part of a flight crew that flys into Redding on a weekly basis. We flight crew phone in our orders and while the engines are still on, we run in and get our order! The staff are incredible! The food is out of this world! My favorite dish is General Tsos chicken. Their lunch specials are spectacular and... More

Staff is Friendly and Courteous. We got the Lunch for 6 people, and Lots of food for sure, but overall, just seemed over cooked, and lots of sauce. We had a great selection, and the Almond Chicken, just looked like well cooked, and lots of sauce. On the Sweet and Sour Pork, the pork seemed dried out.. Over all, the... More

We had a table in a corner window to view a beautiful rainbow as we were seated. That was the best part of the evening, besides the friendly staff. The meal was nothing to rave about, yet was presented nicely and there was alot of it. The service was great and there was plenty of food to take home for... More

We ate at the restaurant last week and we all were pleasantly surprised. Normally you don't expect good food from anywhere in an airport, but this Chinese food was very good. There were 7 in our party and we all ordered a different dish, but shared family style. The service was great and we received our delicious food promptly. The... More
