Enchilada with chile verde outstanding as was the chile rellano. Pork tamale, however, was a disappointment as were the traditional pre- meal chips and salsa. Authentic atmosphere that was hot and noisy.

Although some previous diners complained about the attitudes of wait staff, our waiters were pleasant, cheerful, and alert. (The owner was present.) Although some previous diners praised the food as providing an outstanding example of California Mexican cuisine, our food was rather mediocre -- edible certainly, but not special in any way.

Read all the reviews before coming....was very excited because we thought we were in for a real treat. Our service was lacking....food was very bland particularly the rice (dry with NO flavor) and the chicken...very very dry. The chips and salsa were the only good things we ate. I ordered a Blue Moonlight Margarita...it was pretty but tasted watered down... More

Hubby and I love mexican food but are traveling from out of state. Used this app and found this restaurant. The service was exceptional, with the guys all helping each other out. I asked the waiter about vegetarian selection and he made suggestion that was phenomenal. Wish we lived closer!

We chose this restaurant because it was rated #3 of over 250 restaurants in Redding. The food here is the bland Americanized stuff you can get in any town. If this is #3 in Redding, my advice is to bypass Redding.

Redding is more known for its dives but the town but this place is really good! Listen to to other Californians as they know Mexican food. It is packed almost every night (make reservations) and there is a very good reason for that. Food, service, and prices all add up to value and quality. From the margaritas to the tortillas... More

We chose to go to this restaurant because of the TripAdvisor rating of #5 out of 251 restaurants, but were sorely disappointed. The food was only so-so. The chicken in the enchilada and fajitas was dry and flavorless. The rice was dry. The cheese was melted on the refried beans so that I had to eat the beans in order... More

Shared fajitas for two with steak, chicken and shrimp. Good marinated flavor of meats. Chips and salsas made fresh. Mild salsa was good. Asked for spicy salsa and they brought us a great salsa verda. Service was quick and attentive.

We've tried them all in Redding and though we can recommend most of them, Guadalara has the best food, margaritas, and service. Highly recommend it!

As my title states, if you want to try everything, go for the combos! Have you and your family members order different combos and share! We tasted their Burrito, Taco, Chimichanga, Chile Relleno, Tamale, and one other that slips my mind. ALL YUM! Bottomless chips and salsa were loved by the kids. Also, order the hidden non-alcoholic drinks: Jamaicha and... More
