Large portions & good quality food.

My family and I meet there for breakfast once or twice per month. They have a good variety of American food, huge biscuits, hash browns from potatoes not dehydrated, really good quality ham steaks, omelettes, my wife thinks they make the best pancakes around. Something for everyone. Service is... read more

Very good food. Love the giant biscuits and the coffee is always fresh!! That's important. Large portions. Friendly staff. Nicely decorated. Ate here twice during my stay in Redding. Would definitely recommend.

I've had many good meals at Black Bear Diner's. This was one of the best. The server was charming and all smiles, even when it was 2 dirty motorcyclist fresh off the road. The only complaint I have is their running out of split pea soup. So, I tried the meatloaf. It was definitely better than what mom use to... More

Home cooked meals at their best. We have eaten at several other locations and they are consistently very good.

I was disappointed with our food at the Black Bear Diner. We had trout and bacon and eggs. It was all rather bland. The bacon was really tasty, but the other food was disappointing. The biscuit was huge and looked good, but it was quite dry. The fruit bowl was not fresh. The service was slow even though there were... More

I thought this place was quaint and food good but expensive and service was extremely friendly but not entirely efficient.

I stopped by this location for lunch on Tuesday 03/17/15 on my way up North on I-5. I figured it was a safe bet as I have eaten at a Black Bear before and liked the food. When I walked thru the door a lady asked me how many, I said 1. She then pointed to the left and told... More
