Home cooked meals

Home cooked meals at their best. We have eaten at several other locations and they are consistently very good.

I thought this place was quaint and food good but expensive and service was extremely friendly but not entirely efficient.

I stopped by this location for lunch on Tuesday 03/17/15 on my way up North on I-5. I figured it was a safe bet as I have eaten at a Black Bear before and liked the food. When I walked thru the door a lady asked me how many, I said 1. She then pointed to the left and told... More

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Black Bear Diner in Redding. It was so convenient, easy on easy off I-5 and they opened at 6:00 a.m. The service was friendly and the coffee cups were always full. The food was over the top )good) as fall as quality and quantity. In our future travels to California we will always try... More

Parking is poor, lighting is good. Property is clean. Service is very friendly and professional. Menu is varied. Breakfast served all day and good. Sandwiches and burgers all fresh and well seasoned. Pricing is good so above average value.

Breakfast is their best offering of food in my opinion. I've always please with my meal. Lunch and dinner, food quality is average. The staff is very friendly and you get excellent service. A great place to just relax and have a bite to eat. The Redding and Mt. Shasta Black Bear is my favorite locations. Love the commercials.

We had breakfast and lunch here this weekend! Portions were gigantic, and nothing like sweet cream pancakes! Absolutely to die for. Staff was so pleasant and attentive!
