CONSISTENCY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME

When you go to a Black Bear, you pretty much know what to expect. We were seated promptly. Had the Farmet's Scramble, which is my favorite, and the one egg breakfast and both were delicious. Food came quickly. Portions are sizeable and prices are reasonable. Service was very good.

When we arrived at Black Bear diner in Redding, we had already been on the road for almost two weeks, on our way back to BC from Disneyland. After eating every meal out at various resturants in three states, this was not only the best food, but we received outstanding service. The food was fast, hot and I left the... More

We were forgotten most of the time by 2 waitresses. one an older gal around 50 yrs old with a lot of highlights in her hair (Glasses i believe) , the other a younger blonde girl. We decided months later to give them one more chance . We were seated, given our drinks. - that was all. waited 20 mins... More

Every single one of their restaurants has been outstanding. If you are hungry, this is THE place to go. You will not be hungry after eating here. It is impossible. Like having the omelets. Great atmosphere, fun family place to eat. Value for the food is outstanding.

Very good food. Love the giant biscuits and the coffee is always fresh!! That's important. Large portions. Friendly staff. Nicely decorated. Ate here twice during my stay in Redding. Would definitely recommend.

I've had many good meals at Black Bear Diner's. This was one of the best. The server was charming and all smiles, even when it was 2 dirty motorcyclist fresh off the road. The only complaint I have is their running out of split pea soup. So, I tried the meatloaf. It was definitely better than what mom use to... More

My family and I meet there for breakfast once or twice per month. They have a good variety of American food, huge biscuits, hash browns from potatoes not dehydrated, really good quality ham steaks, omelettes, my wife thinks they make the best pancakes around. Something for everyone. Service is always good. It's a small chain and we have been to a... More
