We have eaten at a few different Black Bear Diners and were always very happy with all the food. We have passed through Redding many, many times over the years but never stopped at this BB Diner. We decided to stop for lunch this time. Our waitress, Joanne, was very good & attentive. We ordered the Avocado Bacon Club sandwich... More

We regularly stop at this popular restaurant. My hubby loved the steak and egg special, and I enjoyed a choice off the "fit" section. The servings tend to be enormous, so I enjoy the lighter and smaller portions that are available if you look for them. They still are generous in size. The service was quick and friendly, and we... I love BB diner. Great atmosphere, friendly staff with huge portions of just so so food. I've been to Mt. Shasta and St. george locations as well. Love the desserts, especially the mini pies: banana cream!

We stop at Black Bear Diner several times a year. It is ALWAYS great food. We have noticed the same service staff are here year after year. Big testimat on the quality of the food. Manager is often waiting tables and taking orders. Will stop again on next trip no matter what time of day.

Black Bear Diner offers good, old-fashioned food on a very large menu. Servings are very large and can be a bit overwhelming. Prices are very reasonable.

When we are traveling we always look for a Black Bear Diner. We always get the best breakfast here. This location has such a great staff. From the time you walk in, you are greeted with the nicest most cheerful staff. They are so warm and friendly. The food is more than you can eat. Everything is good. If you... More

We stopped here for dinner one evening in December on our way from Oregon to San Francisco. The service was excellent; fast and very friendly. The food is good home-style cooking. As with most Black Bear Diners, the one in Redding was very busy the night we ate here, so it was somewhat noisy. The prices were reasonable.

The service has always been very good as well as the food! The menu offers quite a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have eaten there most often for breakfast. The volcano is my favorite! They have a choice of a 7-grain pancake (you need to specify) it comes with 3 large pancakes, two eggs (any style),... More

The Black Bear Diner offers a simple but delightful dining experience. The portions are large and tasty, and the service is always friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Whether Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, the food is consistently good. I am a particular fan of the huge salads filled with wholesome ingredients that are always fresh.
