The staff here is really nice. They have a cute little gift shop and the prices are great. It's a nice local sit down place.

I have gone here with a friend for breakfast and for lunch and both times I had a great meal, good food at a good value, I would recommend this place, to any one at any time.

I have eaten here numerous times. I now usually go to Lumberjack when in Redding. The food, service and quality seem to vary widely between visits. Pricing is average.

- for breakfast. Scrambles and omelettes are outstanding. Portions are huge. The " less" meals are large.

I went to lunch today with my mom and it started with the hostess/ waitress leaving us nasty straws that were already open and looked dirty like it had been... More

Always good for selection, service, and taste. The sweet cream pancakes are the best. The sandwiches are good. The burgers are good. The service is friendly too! I would much rather eat here then many other chains for breakfast and lunch.

I generally love Black Bear -- I have eaten at the Redding one before -- this time the food was bland and not up to my usual expectations of Black Bear I will probably give them one try at this location aand I hate to say it, my first bad meal at all of the different Black Bears I eaten... More

When traveling to Reno or California we always choose Black Bear Diner over Ihop, Shari's, or Denny's. They have a great selection of food and even choices for the weight conscious. The potatoes are great, the eggs done and not runny, and the meats are good. I've had the veggie low-cal omelet and highly recommend it. It's filling and you... More
