As a boy my dad took me to Jack's when staying in town as a traveling salesman. That was 45 years ago. He was shown this place by a few of his local customers in Redding. Jack's is a "learned" destination. You would NEVER go in there if you just happened to drive by it and didn't know about it....

My husband, a salesman, has been coming here for over 30 years and won't eat dinner anywhere else in Redding. This place reminds him of the local neighborhood bar/restaurant back in Queens, where the staff "know you and call you by name".
