Entertainment while you eat

This is a restaurant where the chef is in front of you doing gymnastics with his cooking utensils, including knives. The "show" was very entertaining and the food cooked the way we liked it on a grill right in front of us. In downtown Redding, CA.

The interior is dark and cavernous but don't let that intimidate you. Food is of lovely quality and the staff try very hard to please. Selection is huge and complicated but forge on, it is worth it. Across the street from Thunderbird Motel. They are gracious and accommodating.

This is a fun place for friends and family. Cooking on an open grill or just ordering is fun. Parking is somewhat limited. Staff is friendly.

We walked to this cute restaurant from our motel. We each ordered a Bento box dinner but it was a difficult decision. This place has so many delicious choices of Japanese dishes, including the Benihana style beef grilling and cutting up performances, that it was hard to choose what to have. Our selection included a perfect Spring roll, salad, miso... More

Group of us went for some Japanese food. Did the cook top and sushi. Everything was delicious, but could of been a little more for the price. But i would go back.

Incredible sushi...and the teppanyaki is always a fun family experience! This is a good stop for a casual date, a birthday or group celebration. The quality is consistently very good and the entertainment value never disappoints!

We were a party of 3 and were first on another place we visit regularly, but didn’t made a reservation this time. As it was to busy and had to wait for 2 hours, we decided to go to another place. Checking with Tripadvisor we decided to try at Kobe Seafood and Steakhouse, which was just one block away. We... More

This restaurant is situated across from the Thunderbird Lodge where we were staying so it was very convenient, We sat at a regular table rather than the Kobe cooking table. We both ordered the Teriyaki steak which includes both soup and salad, the main course was quite large and I wish we had chosen the option where the main course... More

Beautiful Resteraunt. We eat here often. Both the table cooking and sushi side are delicious. They put on a Good show for big parties and the fried rice is yummy. My favorite though would have to be the sushi bar. I love sitting up there watching the chef make the dishes. Rainbow roll is my go to EVERYTIME! It's got... More

For a Behinana steak house experience at a fraction of the cost, Kobe gives you what you pay for. The chef’s Mexican, its waiters are Thai, owner is American, and the rice isn’t Japonica — its Chinese long grain. Teppanyaki chefs excel at flicking florets of broccoli into a customer’s mouth, but ours missed three times, and at four we... More
