I have ate so much mediocre food in Redding but this place really got my taste buds going. I am very allergic to fish and seafood but their menu gave me lots of other choices. We have put off eating here thinking it was pretentious and over priced. Not so. I was there for a decent meal not entertainment and... More

It was our first time in Redding and we were exploring the area around our hotel. A local suggested a Japanese restaurant just a block away, so we headed that way. Upon entering the restaurant we found it was both a teppanyaki style and traditional restaurant. We joined the small crowd waiting near the doorway and perused the menu. Comments... More

Do not like their seating arrangements. If one waits 30 minutes for a table to sit in the middle, we should be placed in the middle. They said that since we were the first people at the table that we had to sit on the side. The only way we could move was if no one was seated at the... More

I had been here on a few other occasions, and usually had good luck. This time I was by myself and sat at the sushi bar. I ordered the volcano roll, which was excellent. The problem was my server basically ignored me after bringing my food. I waited nearly 20 minutes after I was finished eating, to get my check.... More

Worst service ever from the little young girl that is a Hostess. My wife and family arrived at 5:00 PM to eat at the grill. Hostess says we aren't seating anybody until 6:30 PM. I said we would sit at the bar and order appetizers and drinks until then. As we ordered everything, it seemed to be fine until 6:30... More

Safe to say we've never been to a Kobe is quite like this one, prices excepted. With our meal (in a bingo-hall ambiance) we were treated to frequent very loud chanting from some kind of sports group at another table. So our fine-dining experience was more like a visit to a beer-and-pizza joint or a frat-house wind-up dinner. That said,... More

Been to Kobi's a few times; with the family, with friends, and with my lovely wife. The Hibachi grill is fun, entertaining and tasty. The sushi is the bomb! Fresh, large servings, and some creative rolls to satisfy.

I was visiting a friend in Redding and he suggested his favorite local restaurant - Kobe. It did not disappoint and I see why locals would take visitors there. I certainly did not expect sushi this good in Redding. It is as good if not better than sushi in San Francisco. The rolls were expertly made and delicious. The service... More

One time we did the hibachi style whole show and it was a fun ride. I had the steak and shrimp and between the excellent flavors, fine dining atmosphere, and professional, yet charming staff, I was more than satisfied. Oh! Then the sushi... Wow. My stomach's growling thinking about how that tasted. Maybe I'll go again tomorrow! Yuuummmm! It is... More

I have been wanting to try this place for months now as I have heard such great things about it. Let me start out by saying that the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and patient with us as we were learning the menu. The food was terrible to mediocre. The soups were tasteless and the salad was... More
