Tapa's has closed. Redding has lost another nice restaurant with good atmosphere. Owner relocated to the coast and opened a new restaurant in Eureka.

I had the chance to stop again at Tapas Rest. Food was outstanding, price was fair and service was very good. I Had the Tapas nacho plate, its so full of yummy things, and so different than a Mexican style plate, you just have to try it. Starts with pita chips, special sauces and beans, roasted flavored pork and toppings... More

I really love the atmosphere at Tapas. Great ambiance. I went there solo on New Year's Day to journal. I had the Chicken Brocheta Plate and it was good. The coffee was flavorful as well. I had excellent service the whole time I was there. I'm thankful Redding has Tapas Downtown!

I went with a friend to Tapas. I was not impressed. The service was very slow. The restaurant was not busy, but the waitress would just disappear for long periods of time. She wasn't available for menu questions or to get us refills on drinks. I thought the food was o.k. and a different choice for Redding, but the cost... More

Ok we had some good tapas and a delicious Greek dinner salad, but what really turned this stopover repast into an experience was a dessert called Crema Catalan. It's a particularly shortbread-like creme brûlée with a phantasmic pomegranate reduction topping that delighted our senses, including visual. Excellent!

I have heard lots of good things about Tapas, and wanted to LOVE it. However, it wasn't as great as I'd hoped. First off, it smelled very strange when we walked in; I didn't smell food from the kitchen at all, just an odd stale smell. My husband and I ordered from the dinner menu; each of us tried a... More

Although the menu held promise, the food was average at best. Chilis were over salted. The chrarcuterie dish had meat that was fat with no prosciutto. The menu also had confusing gluten free labelling. Server was friendly.

My husband and I had the opportunity to eat here on Sunday afternoon. We had some appetizers and split a main dish based on our servers recommendation. Food was good and atmosphere was nice. Would dine here again.

We went because of the TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The lunch menu is very eclectic -- a mix of tapas (tapanade, anchovies, empanadas, hummus, etc.) and more traditional luncheon fare (steak wrap, fish & chips, quiche and salad). We had the Muffaletta and Lamb Gyro and both were very good and the portions were huge. Nice selection... More

The presentation is grand and the food tasty, so unexpected in Redding at least for this diner. The price seemed a little dear to us but the atmosphere and service was quite lovely. $40 for two for tapas at lunch seemed a bit steep, small portions but well done all in all. Hard to judge since the day before we'd... More
