Mother's Day Brunch

The Fam made reservations and took me here for Mother's Day Brunch. We showed up 10 minutes early, waited half an hour late. The place was packed! The hostess was apologetic, and we certainly understood. The waiter was timely, friendly, and messed up one order but made it right fairly quick. The... read more

We had the grilled mahi with coconut rice, peach salsa and grilled pattypan squash. So fresh, flavors really came through. Like a flavor dance in your mouth. The summer tomato salad wonderful also. Fresh squeezed lemonade just right tart. Dessert shared peach cobbler with oat crumbles, a LA mode. What a finish!

This was a find as we traveled through Redding. We highly recommend it. Excellent food, great wine and beer selection, and the service was superb. Don't miss out on this one.

We had ordered Terriyaki Mushroom Burger with melted Swiss Cheese and Pommes Frites. I had ordered "medium" for my burger. It was very tough and dense meat, very dry. The "pommes frites" were from the bottom of the pan, I think. Little burned bits and pieces. Pommes frites have to be cooked in oil twice. I think these were cooked... More

We had a lovely dinner here. Everything was very fresh and tasty, with locally sourced quality ingredients. A true foodie fine dining experience in Redding! We had the fish tacos, they were delicious, and the bibb salad was an entire head of bibb lettuce. The locally grown strawberries and freshly made biscuit made a memorable strawberry shortcake. They also have... More

Great food and awesome service , really pet friendly no worries after traveling through with a new puppy on 100+ temperature day. Super friendly. Food was fantastic, we will make this a pit stop off I-5 as much a possible.

A fancy resteraunt in a shopping center is ruff to pull off, but then you add snobby waitstaff and it goes downhill from here. On New Year's Eve we planned our celebration with 2 other couples... (our reservations were for 10pm) and we were actually asked to leave at 11:45-!!! So standing in the parking lot, we rang in the... More

Good food, nice, casual atmosphere good service. Located in a shopping mall, but it's better than that!

On the road for a month and hungry for lunch, we checked Trip Advisor just as we approached Redding. We quickly decided on Moonstone as it sounded like just our kind of place: locally owned, non-chain, lofty ideals, great reviews. Turned out to be one of our worst restaurant experiences ever. Here's what happened. I ordered a cheeseburger with Pt.... More

At first I was surprised to see Moonstone as #18 of Redding restaurants but then reading thru the lower reviews, I realized that they included the ratings of the former establishment at that site when they described the interior... Because Moonstone deserves to be Top5 if not no. 1. My new reason to happily come back to Redding (travelled for... More
