Great breakfast delicious large healthy portions. Good stable hearty food, and excellent service. They were busy had to wait for a table but we were in and out within an hour.

The catch phrase is true. Not only that the food is good, they serve big portions. The servers are always fast, friendly, and efficent. The cabin like atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a lumber community. If you like a good hearty meal, this is the place.

I have eaten here several times. Overall, service, food, portions and pricing are good. I like this place better than the Black Bear Diner in Redding.

We stayed at the Travelodge in Redding and they offer a free breakfast at the Lumberjack. We were surprised by the many free choices and amount of food we received. It tasted great. We also ate dinner here and found it to be very good.

Food isn't bad, the problem is they bring you food in small portions at a time. I am 6'5" 280 LBS, they brought me 2 sausages, some eggs, and a tiny biscuit, and a ton of pancakes. I don't eat pancakes, so the I had the other food finished and had to wait to get more. She brought me more,... More

I've tried this restaurant a couple times, and both times have been the same, but I'll concentrate on the highlights of my latest visit. The service is unremarkable, with your waitress ignoring you in favor of having a conversation with regulars. The food is just okay. Better than Denny's, but worse than the many other options within the same general... More

We had a discount coupon from our hotel and made our first visit. Nice decor, and seemed like a good local restaurant. Very good service, and nice menu selections.

stayed at the motel across the street for 2 days in order to "do the town". We ate breakfast and dinner there after long hot days and enjoyed each meal. The salad bar was utterly a mess and not well tended however. Not as sugery or fried as some of the other chains of simular venue. Would stop at another... More

We first went to Lumberjack about 5 years ago for the free breakfast given with our motel stay. It was good then and after many times there, still is good food, good service and reasonably priced. Breakfasts and dinner are only meals we've eaten there.
