Interesting Menu with lots of food

We stopped because we liked the sign and found the menu to have American on one side and Chinese dishes on the other side. We selected Chinese and ended up with lots of food from one of the combo deals for 2. It was a little bland for my taste but my wife liked it.

I get Chinese here on occasion, the food is very good, the service is great and the people very friendly. Prices are average. Only complaint is it is a little "divey" but the food and service make up for it. Great location, very easy to get to on the "Miracle Mile".

I have eaten here twice in the last 3 years. I didn't remember it being too bad so I tried it again. I think that's enough. Mostly patronized by older, local residents. I had Chinese food that was below average. I wouldn't say it was bad, but there is no appeal to eat it again. The building is old and... More

Someone recommended Lim's so in spite of the drab atmosphere we took a chance for lunch. The menu of Chinese and American food was a yard long ("danger, Will Robinson") but there was little appealing about it. Figuring a daily special was a safe bet I took the plunge on a beef chow mein-fried rice-shrimp combo. That wasn't the mistake.... More

They serve very good food and lots of it. Plan to take some home for another meal. They also serve American food. Parking is limited. They take credit card purchases and can fix food to go.

Lim's serves up the Chinese food of my childhood, the Cantonese (American Chinese) cuisine that has been disappearing from the American landscape with the advent of the more authentic cuisine spreading in America after Nixon's visit to China. Those familiar with the old fashioned Chinese/American restaurants of Southern Oregon would find similarities to Medford's Far East Cafe and Klamath Falls'... More

Lim's Cafe is our favorite breakfast spot in Redding. We eat there every Saturday and Sunday. They also are great for lunch and dinner.

4 of went for dinner and not being from the area we only read the prior reviews. We ordered the dinner for 4 people so we could have variety. We were disappointed as the food was bland and small portions for 4 people. The soup was chicken noodle with no chicken.. not sweet and sour or egg drop like other... More

I've gone here to eat since I was a child, so that is about 45 years! Its a little worn, a little dated, but the fresh, fast wonderful food cannot be denied!! Love the family that owns it and their several generations that work there. Great people and great food!

I was happy enough that I bought one of their T-shirts. I asked for something that was not on the menu and they made it perfectly to my taste. My S.O. had something that she considered boring but I think that was her fault in ordering a bland dish. If you want something special -ask for it. Very reasonable prices... More
