I was happy enough that I bought one of their T-shirts. I asked for something that was not on the menu and they made it perfectly to my taste. My S.O. had something that she considered boring but I think that was her fault in ordering a bland dish. If you want something special -ask for it. Very reasonable prices... More

My teenage son and I were on a roadtrip thru northern CA, stopped in Redding for the night. We were driving around Redding and as soon as we saw the cool sign outside we both immediately knew we wanted to eat there. We live in So. Cal and love good Chinese food, we were hopeful for a good No. Cal... More

I have eaten here a number of times, the restaurant is located near a residential area close to family on North Market Street. My parents and extended family find it easy access for people in wheelchairs, and the food is not greasy. Their daily specials (breakfast $3-7, lunch $4-7) are generous and good. Chinese and American choices are available at... More

Lim's Cafe is one of those special places where you go for comfort food and friendly faces. Great for lunch serving great burgers with some of the best french fries in shasta county (golden, crisp and delicious) and also a great selection of chinese dishes as well! With descendants of the cafes founders heavily involved in day to day operations... More

This cafe was walking distance from our motel so we gave it a shot and were very pleased with the meal and the service. We got one of the meals-for-two and were not disappointed in the food or the quantity. The folks there were friendly and kept the hot tea coming. We would not hesitate to eat there again.

Stayed nearby recently and noticed that Lim's is open for breakfast. This place has been here since the late 1950's and I'm so glad it hasn't changed. Very much old school Chinese/American restaurant, with ancient but clean decor and ambiance. The waitress probably has been there for decades and the breakfast was good. Nice prices. At night they have a... More

The manager of the hotel we were staying at recommended Lim's for "local" home-style dining. It was just a few doors from the hotel. The restaurant was established in the 1930's and you can see photos of who I presume are "momma and poppa" Lim. Lim is a Chinese name, and the cuisine is Chinese and American. Dinner specials are...
