We were underwhelmed by the food here. Both the prime rib and the steak were just so-so. Unlike the food, however, the service was terrific. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Given the mediocre food, we thought that the price was unduly high. Our bill averaged out to around $23 per person.

The steaks at this restaurant are always cooked to perfection. The service is excellent. Our favorite place to eat when passing through Redding.

We have eaten here several times when we are in the area. We are always greeted when we come in. We were lucky to have Kayla as our server. She was an excellent server and made our meal even more enjoyable. The steaks are always delicious and cooked to perfection. The twice baked potato is so good. We really enjoy... More

We been to Cattlemen's a number of times in several locations. Overall, we found that Cattlemen's provides good quality ranch-style/cookhouse meals and excellent steaks. The Cattlemen's in Redding was a little disappointing. We found the prices somewhat higher that other locations and the atmosphere somewhat lacking.

My husband and I had the worst service and food, EVER last night. Our server was slow, talked too much with other customers at the bar, before tending to our needs. When we FINALLY got our food, the steak had way too much fat on it, had to get us new cuts, and the baked potatoes were saturated w/sour cream. We... More

We stayed next door at the La Quinta who suggested us eating here with a 10% discount. We had driven from Olympia WA on May 14thand were ready for a good meal and a good night's sleep. While my husband was resting from the long drive I walked over ( barely out the front door of the hotel) to order... More

We had dinner here and the steak was very good. It was tender and had a great flavor. They cooked it just right. The stuffed potato was pretty good, and the salad was great. I didn't like the beans. The service was excellent (we ate in the bar). I would go back. It wasn't fine dining, but it was a... More

Cattlemens is a well known restaurant and is located in an easy to get to location off Hilltop. Jack's Steak House is the best in town but Cattlemens is OK but pricey for the proportions you are served. We had to wait along time to get a table.

I had a rib-eye which was done perfectly and very tasty. It came with mashed potatoes and thinly sliced french friend "Tumbleweed" onions. Also had a salad. I couldn't finish all of the steak and potatoes! No room for dessert.

This is one of those local places where everybody that works here is happy and ready to serve. We were greeted by three young women who were happy to find us just the booth we wanted and no less than 4 other employees served us. The portions are huge - so sharing an entree and add an extra potato and... More
