Good food not so good ambiance

The food was good, especially the lamb and the salmon. The only thing I don't recommend is the foei gras that wasn't tasty at all. The service was pretty good

My husband and I dined here for dinner with another couple. They've recently remodeled and the updated look is pleasant. Even though it was summer we sat near the fireplace which added to the ambiance. The salad appetizers were delicious as were the fish entrees that we had. They offer corkage so we brought our own wine though they have... More

Really nice restaurant with great food and fantastic ambiance! It's an upscale place but lunch is a bit more casual. Prices are a bit high, but the food is worth it.

We went during restaurant week and to be fair, the menu was limited to three choices each for appetizer, main course, and dessert. Ambiance was good, seating was nice, a little noisy for us but we're old folks. Service was excellent. My spouse had wedge salad, short ribs with mashed potatoes, and creme brulee. I had beet salad, duck breast,... More

We normally do not frequent this restaurant, and after dinner there last week, I was reminded why. Both my husband and I ordered the duck breast. My antenna should have been up when the waiter did NOT ask each of us how we liked our duck prepared. Before the server left our table with the order, I made it a... More

Many of the restaurants in RSF seem to have the same look and feel. This one reminds me a lot of another down on San Dieguito but with a different menu. Good range of choices... The duck is good as is the pork chop. Nice wine list and cozy atmosphere. The courtyard room works really well for a group and... More

This restaurant is in a nice spot in Rancho Santa Fe and the décor and ambiance is very nice. It seems to have changed chefs many times over the past few years. We took some folks there last week and while the food was fine, the service was so bad that I would not go back, We arrived at 6:15... More

We used to frequent this restaurant in the 90's and hadn't been there in a few years, but were in the area and decided to give it a try again. Although we had a decent serviceable meal, the overall experience was disappointing because we could not help but compare it to meals we've had there in the past. Service was... More

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. Elegant interior; enough for Melissa Gates to host a private luncheon. Relaxed outdoor seating and uber friendly server willing to accommodate a couple of foodie adults and a couple of teenage boys. We were all very happy with our selections and enjoyed the evening.

Very nice food, rock solid service (thank you Brian!) Ambiance is slightly off ...decor is cold and TVs don't really fit in a place that is trying to offer high class dining. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area
