The atmosphere of the courtyard is lovely and made a perfect spot for a late lunch! With the fireplace blazing and the noise level muted by the lateness of the reservation it turned out to be a great find. While we have been staying in the region for a number of years and almost always visit another of Rancho Santa... More

Rancho Santa Fe is one of Southern California most exclusive neighborhoods, surrounded by Golf, Tennis, Polo and horses. This restaurant represents our neighborhood. Its just perfect ! The whole menu was fantastic, the food and service are superb ! Alb May

A recent review touted their extensive renovations, and after viewing the menu and photo gallery online, we decided to try their brunch/lunch offerings on a Sunday afternoon. The courtyard entryway to the resort/restaurant set the tone for our experience. We were immediately drawn in by the sounds of a bubbling fountain, patrons enjoying themselves and an inviting outdoor fireplace. Upon... More

We went to Veladora to celebrate an anniversary & birthday. The restaurant is lovely- the fireplace in midroom was blazing and the subdued lighting made for an enchanting atmosphere. We were seated in a booth practically in the entrance - not desirable. But our waiter appeared instantly and throughout the evening the service was attentive. We ordered drinks and appetizers... We had breakfast and dinner at Veladora. The lemon souflee pancakes for breakfast are heaven. The filet mignon for dinner is like cutting butter with a knife...very tender and well seasoned...cooked to perfection. The Apple Crisp for dessert is a must.

Menu varied and excellent fish dishes served. Relaxed and friendly service. New furnishings are interesting and creative. Think they need more booths to accommodate four comfortably. Chairs and tables in center of room not as desirable.

The first thing I noticed was that the atmosphere was unlike that of most resort restaurants. Unpretentious yet chic. Our server was very well versed in the menu and offered his actual opinion rather than the typical "well, everything's good on the menu". The selection on the menu is somewhat limited but the quality and presentation of the food is... More

What a dynamite "down to the studs" redo of an already great space. The food, service and wine list are absolutely perfect-this is a rare example of "fixing" something that was not really broken--but elevating it just the same. The beauty of the ingredients (and the respect that they are given) is incredible. I do not wish to imply that... More

Since its opening in 1989, this award-winning Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa located in southern California are my friends’ favorite SoCal resort. They recommended we should have dinner here. When we arrived we checked out the 1BR and 2BR casita’s for a possible future stay. My party of 4 had an early 6:00 PM dinner reservation. Almost no one was... More
