Ristorante Donetella is in an unassuming small office building on the main road, Rt. 111, in Rancho Mirage. If you blink, you might miss one of my favorite restaurants in the Coachella Valley. That would be your loss! When inside, you are transported to New York City - West Side - chic ambiance. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.... More

The pasta is almost all homemade and melts in your mouth. I love the food, ambiance and classy service. To me, there is literally no other place to go for Italian in the desert. Donatella herself is such a lady and its a special treat when she is there. This place does not get the accolades that it deserves, perhaps... More

Wear your smart casual outlet find to this Mediteranean retreat tucked off HWY 111. Ambience is Italian light and looks more authentic after a couple glasses of wine selected from relevant wine list. Enjoy mature family time at this pleasant, comfortable spot. Love the pristine white table cloths & professional service with ties! Food is good. Choose something more flavorful... More

What a lovely find, thank you trip advisor. Right down the street from our vacation rental in an office building. All four of us enjoyed an excellent dining experience. From the lovely atmosphere, to the friendly and knowledgeable server and the excellent authentic Italian food we were all more then satisfied. The fresh baked rolls were hot and fresh, the... More

The rolls were slightly burnt - I had to ask for butter. The pasta was okay but nothing to brag about. Would not return.

I am always looking for good authentic Italian food and, in my opinion, it is not easy to find outside of Italy. I was taken to Donatella's by friends for the first time last week and was very pleasantly surprised. The ambience was most pleasant, the service was good, the staff warm and friendly, the menu extensive and the food... More

My wife and I tried Donatella's on an early weekday night. The place quickly filled to capacity as the evening wore on. The seafood spaghetti pasta with mussels and shrimp was well prepared with plenty of seafood but not exceptional. My wife had the smoked salmon pasta which was disappointing - less than average flavor. Service was attentive early on,... More

Excellent food - tastes like homemade Italian! The fagioli was excellent - huge portion! We'll return!

this small family owned Italian restaurant gives special service a new meaning-- a small intimate place with the owners active in setting you, being sure you are well served and perosanally cooking wonderful Italian food-thier Osso Bucco is just the best and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to this particular dish--there are many really good Italain... This restaurant is trying very hard to be special. Fairly busy for a Friday night , but not jammed. Strip Mall location. I don't think there are any booths. The owner came around several times. Started to get alittle creepy because she really didn't have anything to say. A little pushy with the wine list, but we consented. I Ordered... More
