Amazing food, old school cozy atmosphere

Everything i have had here is fantastic. I really cannot say I have ever had a bad meal. My wife is in love with the scallop appetizer, the short ribs are one of my favorites. Some people may balk at the prices but this if first quality food, with excellent service, it really is a place the you... read more

Reservations are hard to get. Need to do so a week in advance. But worth it. Have eaten there 6 times for special occasions or with family. Never have been disappointed

Shame on the Moon is a restaurant that has been around forever. I think of it as a special occasion place until I get there and realize that you could go there anytime. They have regulars that eat there weekly (daily??). They have one of the best bartenders in the valley - he makes a tasty and ample drink. The... More

Shame on the Moon is a favorite restaurant for many residents of the Coachella Valley. It is located in Rancho Mirage and has been in its present location for about 20 years. The restaurant has a lovely décor and the food is ample and very moderately priced. When in the valley you should visit Shame on the Moon.

SoM is a lovely, elegant restaurant with great service and wonderful food. The wine list is very comprehensive. The desert was also very good. The vegetables were very fresh and cooked to perfection.

Nice venue with pleasant surroundings, most tables situated to ensure ability to converse should you so choose. The menu is well-chosen and will appeal to virtually everyone. Not flashy but the type of restaurant you will undoubtedly wish to return to.

Shame on The Moon has long been a place where we and other locals enjoy quite casual dining. The lovely ambiance has not changed but last nights meals of clam pasta and ravioli were very bland and the salads ingredients were also bland and unimaginative. Mario's is better on both counts. Sadly, this will no longer be on our list... More

I've been frequenting this restaurant for years. It's still as good as ever. The menu is extensive with many options. Service is consistently excellent. I love the duck, filet and the rack of lamb. They make a great martini as well.

We had terrible service at another restaurant so we call Ginger and she told us to come right on over. Dinner was nice. I always forget to tell them not DROWN the fish in sauce. They pour sauce over everything. If you can remember to tell them not to do that, then this place is always a great choice. Dining... More
