This restaurant takes a good piece of fish and smothers it in crusting and then pours creamy dressing all over it. But i you ask them to hold all the extras, it can be a much better experience. For me, once a year is more then enough. Nothing much has changed here in 20 years except the prices of course.

Make no mistake, despite its name, Shame on the Moon has been a top-tier dining establishment for 30 years -- an eternity in this Mojave desert playground of the rich and self-absorbed. Indeed, it may still deserve its stellar reputation; one disappointing dinner should not dethrone it. Then again, that meal should never have been served. This visit (the most... More

Just dined at Shame on the Moon in Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs area) and was very pleasantly surprised. Reminded me of the Frank Sinatra era with a well kept dinning room and excellent service. Food was displayed elegantly and tasted just as good. Highly recommend.

We didn't have a reservation, so we waited the half hour or so at the bar with a cocktail. The vibe was fantastic - friendly service, friendly guests - and our meal was fairly priced and delicious. We'll be back for sure!

A very popular neighborhood restaurant. This restaurant is extremely popular as it offers good food at reasonable prices. The décor of the restaurant is very attractive and the service is excellent. The only fault I find with Shame on the Moon is their corkage fee. I find it too high as compared with other restaurant of equal valley. Worth a... More

We just took "Shame on the Moon" off our favorites list as our dinner with 5 people last night was definitely not up to their past standards from quality of food and service. Won't go into the problems as would take too long but of the 5 people eating no one was impressed and one had to send their food... More

I hadn't been here for sometime, not sure what to expect. It was fantastic!!! We both ordered the Veal pot Roast on the 4 course menu, prix fix. Veal Pot Roast is not available in many places. It was SO Tender and flavorful. It came with an appetizer choice, salad, choice of soup, the Veal Pot Roast served with the... More

Eight of us enjoyed supper at Shame on the Moon. We had excellently prepared cocktails and other drinks prior to eating. The menu is extensive and very good. Each of our meals was well prepared and exceeded our expectations in both quality and quantity. We look forward to our return.
