Great food, great drinks

Great authentic Mexican food. The margaritas were delicious and the chips & salsa were fabulous. Misters & shade covering kept the Outdoor Patio seating comfortable even in the 100 degree weather. The servers were a little stretched with many large groups, but the food was worth the wait. The live... read more

First time, in the middle of summer at Rancho Mirage, I really did not expect to find the better mexican food than in San Diego. But, Las Casuelas Nuevas surprised me...with value, portions, and great taste. We had a simple lunch...campechana, grilled fish tacos, and a carne aside burrito. Each was great. No disappointment at all. The staff was very... More

The outdoor patio for grand kids ranging from 6 months to 5 years is ideal. Equally enjoyable were the 27 ounce margaritas! All entrees were served quickly, hot, and very tasty, with some excellent flavoring.

We always come here when in the desert and always have great meal and excellent service. Just outstanding. The tostada grande is GRANDE, and it pairs well with a large margarita.

We drop by every now and then for lunch or dinner, always good food and plenty of it, this time though it was not the same, portions were smaller, food was not hot or warm, my fajita plate did not sizzle and there was barely any onions or peppers on it, probobly wont return.

I've always had very good service & food here. The buffet was available so we tried it. Many options, all tasty. Simple comfort food.

Make reservations, this place is crowded day in day out. Indoor outdoor dining, variety of menu choices, and drinks. The food is so tasty I am thinking about my return trip before I am done eating! Nice wait staff, and Management. Don't go there, GO here,,,

We like this restaurant....but don't LOVE it. It's been around for ages and is an old "go to" restaurant when you think Mexican. However, the food is just OK. Not bad...but nothing to write home about. It's good for large parties because the grounds/seating is spacious. Indoor/outdoor seating depending on the season. If you are looking to satisfy your craving... More

And a good time was had by all - that is if you're not too picky about the food. It's really all about ambiance, the outdoor patio among trees, the service, the drinks, the Mariachi, and yes, the Nachos. Beyond that, well you may not be the best judge of food after a couple of their Margaritas. And that's just... More
