Why is good Dim Sum so hard to come by? I feel like San Diego should have much better options than in does. I was hopeful when I arrived around noon and found it packed with a line to get in. Lucky for us we were seated quickly. The restaurant is a huge, long room and has a nice view... read more

We came as a family of 5 for an early dinner 5pm, it was odd as we were the only people in the large dinning room that looked set up for a wedding. I guess that is there regular décor and had a great view of the outdoor pond area. I really enjoyed the lazy susan center piece as we... More

We live in the Los Angeles area so had no experience of having a meal at Pearl Chinese Cuisine restaurant in Rancho Bernardo. At my aunt's 90th Birthday Celebration banquet on March 14th..... we were pleasantly surprised...... there was 10 tables of 10 people per table of family and friends. You know everyone really enjoyed the 10 sumptuous dishes at... More

Went for dim sum to celebrate my daughter's b-day with 12 relatives. This is a sister restaurant of Emerald Seafood near Convoy St. The taste is a bit bland. Typical unfriendly Asian service (don't blame the cart service folks b/c I wouldn't be smiley pushing thoses carts around all day.) A tag pricey in comparison to Jasmine. Love the nearby... More

I read the reviews on trip advisor and this restaurant was ranked as one of the 'best'? in RB?? I thought all of the dishes we had tasted the same, just different names. The appetizers (lettuce wraps) were the best. Service was lacking and I thought we were addressed 'after' other parties were seated. The hot sauce was good. they... More

Dim Sum with cart service. people seem to prefer the experience as more authentic. The scallop dumpling are just a touch under flavored but the wrappers are a great consistency. Likewise for those on Cilantro Shrimp dumplings, which really fresh and bright. Each was served in orders of three. The Shu Mai were stand outs, for thin wrapper their texture... More

Was visiting San Diego and was meeting some friends for lunch. This was recommended by our friend since it was near the hotel where we were staying. Dimsum was typical. Did not find any that was extra ordinary with the food. They had the usual dishes you would find in any chinese restaurant offering dimsum.

I've had a decent amount of dim sum in San Diego and Pearl is one of the best. The staple dim sum dishes like shrimp or pork dumplings, BBQ pork buns and chicken feet are all fresh and delicious. The service is quick but if you want dishes like Chinese Broccoli, be sure to order it from the waiter when... More

we visited Pearl on a Sunday, it was busy, but it was also a holiday weekend. The food was excellent!!! All dim sum was very hot or warm and tasted fresh. The only thing I would suggest is someone that can speak English to translate what we were eating and maybe some pictures on the menu. But, again, this is... More

In Lovely Webb Park overlooking the pond, you will find a true Chinese gem Pearl Chinese Restaurant is one of the best dim sum restaurants in San Diego. We love all the dumplings & buns, the Chinese broccoli is always perfect. Sampling what's on each cart is like opening gifts on a holiday. I sometimes get my favorite dish (soup... More
