We decided to wine taste on the weekend in the area and decided to get some food prior to doing so. Had a coupon from the Entertainment book and decided on this place. Good first impression as it was very busy. Nice location on the quaint Main Street of Ramona. Sign in the window says "Best Mexican Food in Ramona"... More

That's right 25 years! We've never had a bad meal here. They have absolutely the very best carnitas we've ever had. Crispy, delicious, fantastic. All their food is wonderful. It's very casual here, nothing fancy about it. But, it's the first place we go after we've been on vacation. We can never find any Mexican food anywhere that we like... More

Authentic is right! Just like downtown Tijuana, including the smell and the aforementioned gnats. We were visiting Ramona and knew we would have lunch while in town so we checked out restaurant reviews, asked some locals, and based on the stellar remarks decided to dine at La Cocina. Oh my gosh! This is possibly the worst restaurant we've ever eaten... More

This is a family run business. I eat there all the time and have NEVER had a bad experience! Sit down or take out!

A little more expensive than the others, but well worth it. You won't go away hungry! AIDAS burrito is awsome!

If you are looking for good food, good value, but not necessarily too much atmosphere, this is the place. Everything is made to order, so be prepared for a little wait - it's worth it. The tacos are great, but if you like burritos, go for it. The carne asada burrito is absolutely the best I have had - anywhere!... More

From start to finish this place does it right, repeatedly! I've been here several times. The meals are consistently splendid, service is precise, and prices are always reasonable! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food!

Ramona's best Mexican food in a hole-in-the-wall on Main Street with homemade salsa, chips, chile verde, enchiladas, and the menu on the board. Don't expect fancy but the food is alway satisfying and served by Mexicans who know how to cook.

I was disappointed to find a reliable cafe falling below good. It was always our stop, but the last visit was heavy and not remarkable, sorry

Good food, good prices, no frills. Kids menu available too. In the middle of the town, easy to find.
