Woodsy, quiet setting with an owner (Bill) and staff that seldom change, which tells you they like it too. Great bar, separate rooms for parties, outdoor patio for warmer evenings, and excellent food. What's not to like?

Bill and his staff always guarantee us a tasty, pleasant meal. The specials are creative and usually quite good. Ask for the Chili Relleno -- not on the menu, but a delicious secret!

On a Wednesday it was packed but we were given a table right away . Food was superb and our waitress kept checking if everything was good . Quality and quantity was perfect . Really classy place

Our first trip here, two couples, was just right! Three of us enjoyed the Petrale Sole Special (with lovely mashed potato!). Ahi also a winner! Service was attentive, friendly, not rushed, on a Saturday night. This spot is out of the way, beautifully situated up in Portola Valley, but will be a return destination.

I know the locals like this place but ...... My pizza was good but about average for a pizza along with the lofty price. I thought the quality, taste etc. should have been better. We tried the Cesar salad. We both thought the dressing was bland. Service was so-so. Overall I was disappointed but maybe compared to the other restaurants... More

If you want a truly Californian experience close to Silicon Valley, come to the Parkside Grille to enjoy fresh meals under the redwood trees. You can dine inside or outside, under heaters if necessary. Grilled meats, pizza and vegetarian dishes satisfy diverse tastes. I like the wood oven-roasted half chicken, as well as the seafood or lamb chops. If you... More

Been here many times, and the service is usually good and the food reliably average. Not great, but the location is what sells the place. Small warning...of the 20 times I've been here, 8 or 9 I've been seated later than I booked. As I write, it's 8:25, and I'm told it will be at least another 15 minutes before... More

The place is off the beaten path, in a small strip center. There's nothing special about the interior other than it is a bit noisy. It was cool the evening we were there, but the folks running the place refused our request to shut the door between inside dining and patio dining. I guess they didn't want the wait staff... More

Parkside Grille is a little out-of -the-way, but well worth the scenic drive. The food & service are consistently well above average & can be exceptional. Specials are always novel & are a highlight. The evening entertainment scene (often live music) & outdoor seating under massive redwood trees are added bonuses. You can count on a very good experience, at... More

Great food and very good wait staff. Sept. 2012 is the last time I ate there but not the first nor the final time. Can't wait to go back
