We had to try it, given the range of reviews. Our experience was fine.

Given the mixed and strong range of opinions about this place, we had to try it out. Happy to say, it was quite fine. It's a basic, American, rather nice 'greasy spoon', breakfast place. My scrambled eggs were perfect, tasty sausage, the service was friendly, my latte was great (they even had Soy... read more

We were two couples off for a weekend away without children. We arrived for breakfast on a weekday and sat right down, no waiting. The interior is as cute as can be with throw-back bright yellow kitchen tables, retro wall decorating and fun fun counter seating. OK...best best omelet of my life that day. Spinach and Swiss cheese with Avocado.... More

Love the whole wheat pancakes, they are the size of the plate and really good. Lunch is also good and eating outside on picnic tables was fun.

Food was really disappointing. We had a fried oyster salad and a fried oyster sandwich. Oysters, the star of each entree, were soggy and limp. Salad was dressed with a virtually flavorless dressing; feta cheese in such a small amount it was barely noticeable. Service indifferent; price, high.

These days many places that look like greasy-spoon throwbacks actually hide local gems with great cuisine. But in the case of the Pine Cone, it really is just a greasy-spoon throwback. I was there alone and ordered a bowl of chili as a light lunch. When it came, it was barely above room temperature so I asked that it be... More

They pride themselves on it, and it's true, but their food is as good as advertised. Fun decor, good hot dogs. I like their breakfast, too. Centrally located in downtown Point Reyes Station.

Food is always good here. The corned beef is really good. Service lags pretty badly when they're busy and the servers/owner are lovely once they get to you but don't expect warm fuzzier when you go in. The food is always good though. Their shakes are soon good and servings are quite ample.

The Pine Cone Diner is just that, a place where locals and visitors come for breakfast, brunch or lunch. My favorite offerings are the BLT, and the salmon burger. The BLT is the best I have had anywhere because the thick bacon is so special, with very little fat and lots of flavor. It is always served with a choice... More

The first time we went to Pine Cone, we loved our food and couldn't wait to come back. This time however, our food was 'okay'. I had a buckwheat pancake which previously had been very good and this time was very wheaty, for lack of a better word. My husband got their egg sandwich for $12.95 (yikes!!) and it was... More

We love the Pine Cone Diner in PRS. The food is always delicious and the staff makes me feel like a long lost relative coming in the door. It is hard to pick favorites on the menu, but the corned beef is incredible.
