consistently good food and service

I have eaten here several times since January and the service and food have been good to excellent every time. I love their cheese omelette with foraged mushrooms and the fish part of the fish and chips was the best I can remember - made with fresh cod, and a light beer batter. Have never had a... read more

Drove over from Faifax, through the red woods and had lunch at the Station House. Had the oyster stew -nicely seasoned and a glass of local milk (outstanding). Finished off with berry pie. Great meal

You can dine inside, but on a lovely day, outside is better! The songbirds added a pleasant--and loud but welcome--accompaniment to the overall ambience, which was laid back and lovely. The crabmeat salad rated very high on my son's scale, and my sandwich was delicious. The fried onion rings were too greasy, however, a mild disappointment. Wait staff was very... More

We've been coming to the Station House Cafe for many years, and it was our first port of call on arriving in Point Reyes this week. We were not disappointed. I splurged on the Cioppino, which comes with a half crab, several giant shrimp, mussels and clams. It is messy but divine. My husband chose the Branzino and was uncharacteristically... More

We stopped here for lunch before heading out. The staff was awkward, and just wasn't sure if they could seat us. When we went it was bar menu only, which was fine but they were still serving other people from the normal menu the whole time, and I would much rather have paid for a burger than for bar snacks.... If you are looking for a really healthy meal, you might find it...but you'll be tempted to try all the other incredibly delicious dishes. Mac n Cheese, Niman Ranch burgers, seasoned burrata cheese on garlic toast, chili...this is the place you to go break a diet, and break it with pleasure. The use of locally grown and produced ingredients is... More

A trip to Point Reyes Station wouldn't be complete without a meal here. Everything is tasty, fresh, thoughtfully prepared. Attention to detail is typical. Good, attentive service. Staff know menu well and can answer any question. Love it here.

The food was better than standard bar food, but not excellent. Service was average. Prices were a bit on the high side.

I stayed at Point Reyes Hostel and they don't serve food there. In the mornings I cycled into town to grab my morning breakfast. The service was good, the food was excellent and I was able to use their wifi.

Thank goodness we had reservations, because this place was an absolute mess! The hostess stand was overrun with people looking for a table. It was near impossible to even get the hostess's attention to check in for my 11:30 reservation. People were coming in from all entrances and just sitting wherever they wanted to outside until a grumpy host told... More
