Worth the drive!

We go back every couple of months to stock up on the Wasabi Goat cheese. Just typing this makes my mouth water! Don't leave without a jar of their raspberry apricot champagne preserves too. Pretty drive from Marin county and always worth it!

This is really a deli and probably a very good one. The food service is really designed more for take away so there are just a handful of seats (including those outside). The person who took my order was unhelpful and unfriendly. The food was o.k but obviously didn't make much of an impact as I don't remember what I... More

Anytime we drive through we get a Mt. Tam cheese. It is the most wonderful stuff and you can head right out back after you get some crackers and break it open in the picnic area. Yummy

I love cheese, so this is a necessary stop. If you can, go on a weekday or early when the crowds are low do that you can try lots of cheeses. Buy cheeses, wines, juice, savory treats, ice-cream, etc and sit in the lawn outside. Great for kids to get their energy out! Cheeses are great by Cowgirl or other... More

I was in on a Sunday and was impressed by the variety of dairy products they had for sale. But since I wasn't going to be home for another day and had no access to a refrigerator, I thought I'd stop by on Monday to pick up some stuff to take home. Alas, when I stopped by on Monday I... More

We have been to the Cowgirl Creamery a number of times. I have to say that we are from the Monterey/Carmel (CA) area and we are spoiled by some excellent restaurants. While rustic CC is a first class operation and they make great cheese. Bring your Black AmEx because it ain't cheap but the faire is worth every penny (er... More

The Farmstead Original Blue Cheese is the best. The store was very crowded the day we were there, but it was worth the wait.

We were glad to pick up cheese and picnic supplies here; the cheese is top-notch though pricey. We were glad to know even though the Cowgirl Creamery closed in Washington, DC where we live, we can still buy Cowgirl Creamery Cheese at our local Whole Foods. Delicious!

On a wonderful sunny afternoon we met up with friends here for lunch. The food was pricey, greasy, small portions and very disappointing. The tomato soup was really the only dish we all agreed was tasty. The grilled cheese with overcooked carmelized onions and mustard was just greasy and sad . The Bahn Mi Chicken sandwich was also greasy and... More

I visited on a what I though was a quiet afternoon. There weren't many customers and I wanted to try some of the cheeses, but the staff seemed to be a combination of overwhelmed and disinterested. So instead I walked next door to the Cowgirl Cantina and ordered the mac and cheese. It was good but nothing super special. Other... More
