Lovely store for shopping for cheese and food gifts. Samples available. Incredible cheese, fascinating story of the genesis of the Creamery.

Stopped here (the Tomales Bay Foods location in Pt Reyes Station) on our way up to Hog Island for oysters. They have a nice selection of wines, preserves and cheeses of course. We bought the Red Wagon cheese and some fig preserves with raisins and mostarda - all delicious.

A can't miss spot in the area for its well known cheeses. The owners set the standard for cheese and promoted the movement of cheese making in the area. Have a snack there, and be sure to take some home!

A working creamery is a great place to learn about cheese making! They call it a tour, but quickly point out the tour is all in your mouth - the host describes the cheese making process while sharing samples of several types of cheese. You can view actual cheese making going on through a large window. Quick, yummy lunches are... More

We were charged with helping our niece with her wedding reception appetizers. She requested some very specific cheeses from Cowgirl...called the store 3 weeks before the wedding and spoke with Raelynn (clearly the head of Cheese!) and discussed what we needed. She even ordered some cheeses for us that they do not normally carry. We arrived to pick up our... More

If you have taken the time to visit Cowgirl Creamery then you either know about it, you know about Point Reyes Station, or you live in Marin, Sonoma, or San Fran. Cowgirl Creamery is an exciting, rustic, charming eatery (that makes its own cheese, includes a restaurant, and has a pricey "earth-style" women's clothing boutique within its walls. The Creamery... The toastie and tomato basil soup cup was a hit with our group but no whereas popular as the Mac n cheese! The service is the best in the West as they were busy beyond belief but still kind and super helpful and accommodating. If you cannot locate one of the few tables you may take you order out to... We picked on some delicious soft creamy cheese for a picnic lunch. They let us buy a half of a small round which was a good size for 2 people. The cheese was very good on a hunk of sourdough baguette with some dry Italian salami.
