TASTE is a small, not so hidden gem in "downtown" Plymouth. Some of the most imaginative takes on dishes, and fresh ingredients. We always have the mushroom cigars. The service is terrific and friendly. It's hard not to get the lamb chops each time.

The mushroom cigars -- a tasty innovative appetizer and house specialty. The Duck Confit was pressed boneless meat vs. the usual shredded presentation which add to the great flavor of the dish and sure to become a house specialty.

Fantastic gourmet food, great service and nice ambiance. It is a little pricy compared to other places in the area but there is nothing in the area that is comparable in quality. It is well worth the drive from Sacramento.

Outstanding food and service. This was our second visit and both times we were warmly greeted by Sergio and given prompt service throughout our meal. We both had the Monday night 3 course prix fix dinner. Delicious.

With the exception of the lamb meat balls which aren't frankly very good, every dish is very innovative, well prepared, nicely presented and the prices very reasonable. We stopped there for lunch during a day motorcycle trip, getting there at 11:30 am, just as they opened but it still took over one hour to have our order served. It's not... More

For a restaurant that is in a small town (think two blocks long) the food is Fantastic and the service is tops. Don't let the name Mushroom Cigars fool you; they are amazing.

We visit Amador County each year. Last year we dined at Taste and Michael took exceptional care of us. The food was superb - to the taste and to the eye. The ambience is relaxed yet professional. This year we dined at Taste again, and had guests with us. Again, cuisine, ambience and service were exceptional and Michael is still... More

Got there early for our reservation and waited at the bar, only to be told by the hostess that they wouldn't honor our reservation because they were too busy. When I explained that we had spent the night in a hotel in order to eat at their restaurant, she said they were really slammed and we would have to wait... More
