Atmosphere terrible. Just got back from Tuscany and the smallest and cheapest bistro had more ambiance and great flavors! So disappointed! My husband commented that he's done spending $70 for a mediocre meal! Merlot was good- Kinridge..Caesar had no flavor- Linguini with clams and mushrooms should be called Linguini with mushrooms for the lack of clams. The sauce was soupy... More

Fontina's Ristoranti is an authentic Italian warm and friendly spot in Pleasanton with a big menu and delicately prepared dishes. The service is exceptional and the food is fresh and delicious.

This was our first time at Fontina Restaurant. My wife and I very much enjoyed the delicious entrees. My wife ordered the Blackberry Salmon w/ Polenta and I, the Chicken Gorgonzola. The service was impeccable as soon as we entered the restaurant. I highly recommend the Fontina Restaurant, if you desire delicious food and impeccable service.

wonderful location in old downtown. plenty of parking in the area. indoor and outdoor seating. enjoyed the Rocket Fruit Salad that was refreshing. the Egg Bacon Salad had decent sized chunks of crisp bacon. the toasted almonds were excellent in both salads. the bacon dressing is too thick so you are unable to spread it out on your salad. the... We've gone to this restaurant since they opened years ago. The food is always good and everyone in the family can find something that becomes their favorite. The service is great, and the wine list is good and reasonably priced.

LOVELY, small, intimate ristorante in Pleasanton, California (charming community) Very quiet and tranquil, excellent cuisine with a stellar wine list of variety. Right on the main drag (Main Streeet) in this quaint little town with a variety of ecletic shops, a museum, old hotel. Founded around 1849-1850? This town has retained it's love of heritage with many restaurants similar to... More

I can only comment on the one meal I had (vegetarian linguine), but I'm afraid to say that it fell into the category of "I could do better at home"; watery vegetables and no excitement whatsoever. On the other hand, the place had a cosy feel, friendly service, and a good local beer.

We went to Fontina last night for my birthday. I must say that Allison, the waitress was the best. She did not hurry us but was attentive. We sat out on the patio which is so nice. I did feel that the inside needed something...nice artwork maybe, can't really put a pin on it. Anyway, I ordered the Salmon Fettuccine... More

Shopping and dining in downtown Pleasanton is truly a treat so I must say to stop by and have lunch or dinner at Fontina's. I just had lunch there today and the experience was lovely. The restaurant offers a variety of treats at affordable prices. The fresh bread served at the table was still warm! Take advantage of the beautiful... More

Even better than before Have ordered this dish for years (from their vegetarian menu) There are now more ravoli and mushrooms in the sauce---nuts top it off for the extra crunch Nicely presented.. I highly recommend-pairing the dish with a glass of white wine.. Excellent dinner
