Every town should have a place like this

Nothing pretentious. Just very good Italian food with a little flair at a very fair price. Outperforms what it pretends to be. Found other reviews to be quite accurate. This is where you say "let's go get a good a good meal" and don't spend any time thinking about it. No bar, but some nice wine... read more

Yes, it's located in a small strip mall, but don't let that fool you. The food is always good here. Creatively prepared and presented, the food changes with the season, although there is a staple menu with many authentic Italian options. Good wine selection as well. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

This little place is very deceiving as it's located in a strip mall and looks like nothing on the outside. However, it is charming inside and has delicious food. The staff is all very warm and welcoming. This is a true gem in Pleasanton.

My wife (she would rate it a 5) :-) and I do enjoy the food at De La Torres in Pleasanton. Good Italian food, great bread before dinner, LOL. They make great cannoli dessert. It's located in a odd little spot next to a grocery and a liquor store. They have been there a long time, so must be doing... More

Found this place on trip advisor. Tried the lasagne at the advice of the server. Excellent tomato sauce, sausage, pasta and cheese. I will return!

We loved this place. What a find! The place looks quite uninteresting from the outside but is lovely inside. Delicious food with good old fashioned high quality service!

Nothing special. Hardly comparable to anything in North Beach or Oakland. Overpriced. I guess OK for Pleasanton. Nice atmosphere though.

Hidden away in a non-descript Lucky Stores strip center is Delatorre's Tratorria. We are regular diners here, and have enjoyed each and every meal! Not only is there an extensive menu of starters, homemade pastas, entrees, and pizza, but also a list a daily specials that are especially creative. Delatorre's ambiance is quaint and cozy, like an intimate trattoria in... More

Several friends gathered today to celebrate a birthday and we decided to venture out somewhere we had not been. I read the trip advisor reviews of this restaurant and cannot believe that I had never come across it before. They have been there over 20 years. In a Lucky's shopping center and a bit non descript looking from the front,... More

Took one of my favorite clients here for lunch and was very impressed. Service was top notch, food was excellent. Opened with a fresh green salad with a gogonzola vinegrette. They also have a basic Italian oil and vinegar. We both had fish; she a lightly breaded tilapia, me a tomato-topped grouper. Both were very flavorful but I preferred my... More
