My friends and I went to breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. The menu offers just the right amount of options. I had the Sue omelet and it was excellent! My hubby ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of their biscuits and gravy and it was delicious. We live in the south so we've had our fair... More

A nice restaurant just outside of downtown Pleasanton. I have only eaten breakfast here, and it was always good quality. Very good omelets (lots of choices or you can build your own) The staff is friendly. Definitely recommended!

Nice, friendly diner. It can get busy but it's a popular place. I like that it's open until 4pm, good for a late lunch. Their french dip sandwich is incredible, with very thinly-sliced and very tasty roast beef piled high on a roll. I suggest splitting it, it's that large.

American country cooking... Good service and tasty food. The kind of place where the servers know there customers by name and are interested in how there day is going. Would recommend if you need a place to refuel your belly with hot coffee and a warm smile.

If you are the person who loves the occasional chicken fried steak, you will love this place. Great breakfasts!

I always make this my first stop in Pleasanton after a 13 hour flight from Sydney. The staff are friendly and it is a great reflection of American breakfast culture. I am working my way through their omelettes and will try other dishes over time.

I was traveling and used trip advisor to find a place for breakfast not too far from Highway. Ended up at Jims a long time local place. Bernie my server (she) was great. Busy but fast service. Luckily the breakfast special included their homemade sausage pattys. I couldn't believe how good they were. I ate a lot, loved it, took... More

The food is just okay and the service is atrocious. I've had good/decent service only once by a friendly waitress with manners. The rest of my visits were well under par. One time, with my two well-mannered teens, one of my sons said, "Thank you." to one of the taller waitresses (the one who is constantly talking about her diabetes... More

I don't think there is a whole lot of difference in the taste of toast and eggs from one place to another so let cut right to the chase here; If you want a great warm country cafe atmosphere, GO TO JIM'S. If you like seeing waitresses who have worked there for many years because they are treated right, GO... More

I've only ever ordered the Amy, which is a Denver omlette. It's nothing fancy. Has a ton of cheese. Hash browns are nice and crispy. I always get the salsa. I can't complain about it since its all ice ordered. They dont have a ton of options but it works for me.
