Zio Fraedo's is a gem right here in Pleasant Hill, California. It offers great Italian and continental cuisine with daily specials. While the dining experience is elegant, with great wait staff, it is also relaxed, so you don't have to wear a suit to enjoy the food or drink. Speaking of drinks, you have a wide range of wines as... More

If you are looking for a true "Dinner House" in Pleasant Hill, then Zio Fraedo's is the place to go. I have been going there for over 30 years and I have no problem in saying that Zeo's is the only true Dinner House in Pleasant Hill. The service is old world and very good. The food is great and... I purchased 4 tickets in November to the dinner and show (Murder Mystery) for my birthday at Zio Fraedo's in Pleasant Hill. I thought it be something very different and special to celebrate. When we arrived I excepted the dinner hall to be more than just generic huge room with round tables set up (something with decoration and/or a theme... More

This used to be a reasonably good place to take your parents or grandparents. We had taken our senior neighbors here for a birthday lunch. The waitress was completely inattentive to the point of embarrassment. The restaurant was not busy and the waitress chose to chat for over 20 minutes with two different tables while we waited. She made her... More

Zio Fraedo’s is a welcome upscale retro full-service dining room from the 1950 – 1980 era. It is classic old-school continental cuisine with an Italian accent. The menu contains items seldom seen these days including Beef Wellington and Surf-&-Turf. The menu is quite extensive, but there are also a number of specials each day. These specials come with soup or... More

We went for my wife's birthday on a Sunday night and it started badly after we were seated and had to wait for the waiter to come and get our drink order. Then we waited about 15 minutes for that to come. My wife wanted raviolis for dinner but they weren't on the menu and the waiter said the chef... More

This is a great place to go for anything from a drink at a friendly bar to a casual dinner of salad and pasta to a delicious substantial entree meal. There are a couple of standouts: rack of lamb (pricey but a generous size and always perfectly prepared.) and a caesar salad that is prepared tableside and the best I... More

I had sole almondine and it was quite nice. Perhaps a little greasy but not bad. My son had chicken Parmesan which was excellent. Both of us felt that the vegetables were not good...freezer burn or overdone but not up to par withe rest of the meal. Service was excellent!
