it is very rare that I am compelled to write a review for a restaurant, but I had such a great experience here that I feel I need to share. firstly, the atmosphere is warm, exotic, and relaxing. an open room with low tables, cushioned benches and the feeling like you've just entered a big yurt somewhere in the Middle... We were regulars at El Morocco in Concord. It moved to Taylor Blvd in Pleasant Hill and we lost touch for years. I am excited to report that the food is even better, great and authentic ambience, and true Middle Eastern food that is great for American tastes. Same hospitable owner, fun belly dancing, and fit for romance or families.... More

far from being a great or perfect restaurant but it does make for an enjoyable atmosphere due to the belly dances and the seating arrangements. I have ordered different dishes every time and the food is consistantly good, not excellent. If you are craving something different that your regular cuisine, give them a try as you will not be disappointed.

Be sure to get a coupon from restaurant.com. The complete dinners are $29.95 per person - our party of 4 used a $50 coupon. Tip on the full price. We also tipped the dancer. This is our go-to place for entertaining guests. The atmosphere is exotic, and utensils are provided on request. My only suggestion is that salad plate should... More

If you are looking for something special, more then just a food on the plate...this is the place. Exotic music, belly dance, hand/washing, fabulous food. I loved it! You feel like you are on vacation in Morocco for few hours, not in a place in Pleasant Hill. Great experience, food, service. Well managed!

This fine restaurant has been a favorite of mine, my family and friends ever since moving to California almost 30 years ago. I can expect to be swept away again and again on an exotic Mediterranean experience with the same beautiful ambiance, the same fine foods, servers in traditional dress and even Belly dancers to amuse and delight. The restaurant... More

I've been going here since they were in their old Concord location. Always great food and service. The exotic surroundings and bellydancers really take you to a different place. Dinner here is like a 2 hour vacation. Highly recommended.

I've been to El Morocco several times over the past 15+ years, and it is still a great Moroccan restaurant very worth going to. We went again with family and friends, including several former Morocco Peace Corps Volunteers and their kids. The $29 (1/2 for under 12) prix fixe dinner menu is extremely generous, everyone agreed the food was excellent... More
