12/6/2014 I wanted a baked potato but they only serve them after 4:30pm so I tried the garlic mash potatoes. They were ok, hot and had the skin included....$4.59 for a pint. They are located across from the hotel we are staying.you don't have to go through the entire restaurant for your carry-out. The carry-out area was nice and clean... More

BB'Q ribs, chicken, etc. are what makes this place famous though they do offer a wide range of food. Watch out for the large portions. We had enough for another meal. Prices are also reasonable, especially for the Walnut Creek area.

Hadn't been to Back Forty since the move to new location few years ago. Was pleasantly surprised. Quality is good, selection large enough to please everyone. Service was good and prices average. Has a bit of a chain restaurant feel to it. Nothing that I would say was extraordinary but no complaints. Overall positive and love the take out options.

A super friendly, down home local barbecue spot with a rustic, western atmosphere, delicious pork ribs and other barbecued meat and generous portions and sides.

Looking for a nice place to have a drink and maybe desert after your night out? This place has one of the nicest bar areas that I've seen. Big screen TVs at many angles so you won't miss a play, large overstuffed couches in front of the huge fireplace, raised tables and seating by the bar, dimmed lights and friendly... More

I don't know if this is a "knock your socks off" restaurant, but the food is always good, service has been consistent, and the prices are good. It's a place I go when I am craving a good baked potato and some meat!

I took my client here for a lunch meeting and we had a great time. We came during rush hour and we were able to get seated right away. I ordered the chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. My client ordered the burger and fries. My sandwich was huge and it was so delicious, especially the sweet bell peppers. I... More

This place has great b.b.q - the smell is amazing. The ribs are excellent, the salad fresh and the salmon is good too. The menu selection is fine for everyone and the service is great.

Haven't been here in years. Very pleasantly reminded how great the food is. We met some friends there and stayed for hours. The staff was very cordial and never acted like we were overstaying our welcome. There are so many wonderful menu items we all had something different and everyone raved about dinners.

I have been going here since it moved many years ago. I have never been disappointed in their food and service. Their pork ribs are fantastic. They have a great variety of side dishes of which all are great. Also a great bar with great service.
