Best place ever!!

This place is amazing!!! A must stop anytime in Placerville. All the food is great but the specials are to die for. We had John cater our 20th anniversary and it was unbelievable, food and service were wonderful. We would use for any occasion.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, Old Town Grill is situated on historic Main Street in downtown Placerville so the atmosphere is relaxing & enjoyable. The diner itself is quaint and cozy. I enjoy sitting in front of the big plate window looking out onto the street but there is also a nice quiet patio out back. John... More

Just a little diner type eatery but man the hamburgers are the best. Juciy, sloppy, full of what ever your ordered and a large variety. Yum

The Old Town Grill is my favorite spot for lunch in Placerville. I always have the Blue Cheese Burger. However, everyone I have been there with have always enjoyed their meal. It's small and popular so expect to wait awhile to get in.

We stopped in after the annual tree lighting ceremony (so did half the town) and it was worth the wait. The burgers were great. My husband went for the elk burger which had a great subtle flavor.

This place has some offerings you don't typically find at a hamburger joint. Not just beef for your burger. You can get buffalo, bison, elk? I can't remember them all...but there are a few different types of meat to choose from. They do offer beef and chicken for your sandwich also, along with snowshoe fries and blue cheese for dipping.... More

John, the owner, is a trained chef. They are dedicated to offering healthy, delicious food - grain-fed beef, free-range chicken, and even emu and buffalo. The restaurant looks tiny as you enter, but it opens up to a larger area in the rear, and through that to a cozy patio with a fountain. Every single item they serve is carefully... More

We stopped for lunch here on our way back from Napa, CA to Carson City NV based on the Yelp reviews. I should have known better...yelp is not a good indicator of a decent place in a touristy area..... The service was okish. Very nice staff. Very mediocre food. We walked in and you first order your food at the... More

Being a vegetarian can pose lots of challenges. I stopped here for lunch mid-day on a Monday. I ordered a veggie burger. I have to say it is the best veggie burger I have ever had. It was not only the homemade burger that was good, it was the grilled onions and mushrooms. The burger had just a little bit... More

Three trips in a row, The Old Town Grill is a required stop for lunch while antiquing in Placerville. The owner, former chef for the Sacramento Kings, always has a kind word and friendly greeting from the grill for every patron coming into this tiny little place. Its old, crowded, a little dingy. Ordering is a little chaotic, but it... More
