Returning from the Sierras I checked trip advisor for food in Placerville. Thanks to people who write reviews we had a great lunch. The staff really shows their appreciation for the customers. If it matters, alcohol isn't served.

I love going to the Old Town Grill! Not only is the food reasonably priced but it is phenomenal! The selection is amazing, as it the food! Heading back there in a couple of days for another great lunch! John, the owner, always has a smile on his face and he let's you know how much he appreciates you stopping... More

Very quick and good service at a really good price! I suggest the salmon burger and the apple blue crumb salad!

Great for casual dinning of breakfast and lunch. Order at counter and delivered to table. Excellent service. The Elk meat hamburger is worth the visit.

We were able to park right across the street every time we visited which helped as I am a semi invalid. It might look small and old fashioned but I badger my friend into taking me every time I visit her just for one of their deliciousn Reuben sandwiches with home fries. I always finish up with half the meal... More

I dragged some friends there yesterday, largely because of the reviews here. We were pretty disappointed. First, everyone raves about the "huge" selection. I was envisioning a place like the Alehouse in Auburn. Instead, I found a long line to stand in. Got to the front and found a short list of burgers and sandwiches. Not exactly a "huge selection."... We stopped in Placerville at lunchtime, en route to Yosemite and whilst the frontage of these premises is quite small the queue of locals was a sound indication. Inside, the choice was huge and prices reasonable. More importantly, the burger and fries were one of the best I've ever had. Thank you.

We were driving from Sacramento down through the Gold Country, heading for Yosemite. We stopped in Placerville for lunch, and accidentally found this restaurant right downtown. What a treat! The burgers were delicious. I mean, seriously delicious! I had the bleu cheese burger with bacon, and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. And, the garlic fries....oooohhh...made with... More

I have been here several times this year. Each time is the same. Greeted like a local, specials described in mouthwatering detail, and when ordered don't disappoint. My son loves the soups of the day. I sneak a taste and they are all rich and heavy bodied. The meats are perfectly cooked to order, fries are crisp, and breads dense.... More
