After leaving the Central Valley to live up here in the beautiful hills around Placerville, we have been searching for a nice Mexican restaurant to replace our beloved Sal's (see my review) in Selma, Ca. Although this mom and pop hole in the wall cannot replace Sal's, the food here makes it a top contender for #2. Fresh made food... More

I found this place when it was occupying only half of its current building. You'd have to wait for a table because there were only four, and half the town was eating here. It's always been run by the same family, and they do a great job. The service is friendly and the food is great! Their salsa is some... More

The salsa is homemade delicious! Simple atmosphere, but so reasonable in price. The chili rellanos are superb and the seafood chimichanga over the top delicious. Miquel, owner, is very friendly. The restaurant is very clean as well.

We started going to this little restaurant when the only dining area they had was outside on plastic tables where you had to hold on to your plate to keep it from sliding off into the parking lot. We met the owner and his family and enjoyed bringing friends and family to their little shop. Since then, we've seen them... More

Love this place, have been dining here since it was tiny hole in the wall. Best tacos al pastor ever. Chile Relleno burrito supreme is great. Recommend to anyone wanting Tijuana style food. Decor has never been best, overlook it and enjoy your meal!

Didn't really feel welcomed here. The counter help seemed like they were doing me a favor, not friendly. Nobody was there but the food took an awfully long time to make. I love salsa, but they had some kind of written restrictions over the salsa bar (only time I've ever seen that at a Mexican salsa bar). Food was so-so,... More

Quality and portions are really great. This place has really grown but the food has kept up and its a great place to have real Mexican food.

I have been going to this Taqueria since they opened. The food is fabulous and usually go there with my coworkers at lunch . Sometimes we eat in, sometimes we take out. The young man at the counter seems to get an attitute, and is very inconvenienced anytime something doesn't go exactly the way it is supposed to, i.e, when... More

Now this is my idea of some good, traditional, Mexican food, people! Wow! I was pointed towards this small place off the beaten path by a guy who knows a thing or two about food. He was right on the money; the beans were awesome, the carne asada was flavorful, fresh, and served on corn tortillas with diced onion and... More

Going to this place makes you feel like you just crossed the border. There are old black and white photos of Tijuana and classic Mexican movie posters on the walls (along with the requisite Mex. beer marketing paraphernalia). You can buy good carnitas by the pound! And the tortas (sandwiches) are as good as any outside of Baja. This place... More
