Cute place with a great bar

This restaurant is right on the main downtown strip (at the end). The restaurant includes exposed brick, standard restaurant fare and a decent sized bar. We enjoyed the food-nothing spectacular, but quite good. The potato planks were enormous but tasty. The cocktail menu includes specialty... read more

The pear martinis are hands down wonderful. We always get some appetizers to share. The calamari is good as well as the sweet potato fries. The place gets very busy Monday through Friday during happy hour since it is directly across from the county court house and has become a local favorite for members of the community of all ages.... We've lived in Placerville for ten years, and Bricks has recently become one of our favorite dinner destinations when we're too lazy to cook for our guests at home. The menu is varied and we've never had a sub-standard meal. If you're looking for a quiet hand-holding place to propose, it might be a bit too "lively", but if you're... More

Really good bar, really good food, fun atmosphere if you are in the mood for great atmosphere and people and energy. Not the quiet, romantic spot but the fun lets enjoy the world spot with good food and wonderful local art

The cocktail menu includes specialty cocktails that are average in pricing, tasty concoctions and hefty pours.

I was in Placerville for an annual weekend event. I always look forward to dinner at Bricks and in three years they have always come through. It's a nice spot for an excellent dinner. The service is top-notch and the food is excellent. I suggest reservations. It's a popular place and waits can be long. However, you can order to... More

We are in town every September for the annual antique street faire and always make it a point to eat here. Being a southern girl, I LOVE the friend green tomatoes with grits. Highly recommend this place.

We passed through here on our way to Tahoe. The food was fresh, the service was great, and there was a great variety of beer. I had the seasonal watermelon beer and I loved it! Sit near the window if possible and watch passerbys. We also recommend the Malibu sandwich. Happy eating!

If you are hungry and short on time, you probably shouldn't come here. It took over 40 minutes to bring our food. My lunch was not cheap. It was $15.95 for my salmon BLT plus $1.95 for the up charge for sweet potato fries. Wine was $8. The restaurant was 1/2 full and we couldn't understand why it took so... More

Great place to eat. Just up from the hotel we stayed at. Service was excellent. Food, beer and service were so good the first night, we went back to eat there the seconds night we stayed in Placerville.

I recently visited friends who have lived in Placerville for decades. They have a weekly date at Bricks which this week included me. We all had great dinners. I had the calamari appetizer and a house salad--delicious! They split a decadent looking burger and a salad. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.
