Ok, who would have thought that Placerville had some of the best fish and chips? The place is known for their beers, which are great. It's not a fancy place, quite busy when we went. But what rocked me was the fish/chips. As fresh as you can get! Batter dipped and fried, big flaky pieces in a bucket (3), It... More

After reading some bad reviews of this place we almost didn't stop. What a mistake that would have been! We sampled 10 different beers here and liked them all. For a small operation these guys produce some great craft beer! Can't comment on the food, but if it's good beer you're after, this is the place!

Above average beers. The Red Ale was a particular standout. Sold, accommodating service. The food isn't really anything to write home about. It isn't bad, per se, it just isn't impressive in any way. Come for the beers, stay for the beers. They are worth a stop.

Love this place. Like going home! Brew is great. Food is good. Staff is friendly and attentive. I have been coming here for 7 years, and a keep coming back. Love this place. Try it. Make up your own mind.

Our group of six beer lovers stopped in for a few beers and some apps after an afternoon in Apple Hill. We did a simple google search for "Placerville breweries." First, the place is hard to find and with little signage. We found a table in the bar area. I'm not sure what kind of decor or theme this place... More

Went to the Placerville Brewing company in May with a group of friends, the place does not look much but the beer is excellent and the food is not bad either. The worst thing was that they shut at 9 meaning we didn't have time to fully enjoy all of the beer.

The food here is above average for the most part and they have some good beers, too. My biggest problem with this place is the inconsistent service. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes it's bad, but usually just marginal. It doesn't help the service to sit outside, but that's one of the reasons we like to go here. The indoor... More

This is a loud brewpub that usually serves pretty good beer and mediocre pub food. Service is hit and miss. We live nearby and eat here about once a year. Our most recent visit was disappointing. They were out of pale ale and the substitute didn't have much going for it. What I though I'd ordered was fish&chips with a side... More

I've been going to the brewery for a few years now. It's been really good lately! French dip, cob salad, and strong blonde beer is the best! Also, the beer sampler is a good value.

My favorite place for afterwork happy hour. Wonderful craft brews and hard ciders. Good food, comfortable surroundings. Great high speed wireless. My office away from home. I love this place.
