We travel extensively in Central and South America. The meal we had here was by far the BEST Mexican dish we have ever had !!!!! Although there is the typical rice and beans ,YOU HAVE TO TRY the Molacajete. The best way to describe this is a Mexican stew. It is served in a mortar made of volcanic rock. In... More

Arrived for late lunch on a weekday. What we liked: 1. Large menu--something for everyone. 2. Clean, well-lit interior. 3. Reasonable prices. 4. Food served on a hot platter, not foam or paper (even though you order and then go sit down and wait). 5. Free refills on self-serve soda. 6. They give you four (four!) warm ortillas on the... More

We had stopped at Jim Boy's in Cameron Park an hour and a half before closing to find the salsa bar had already been taken down and almost nothing available. We have been to Taqueria Carnival many times close to closing. They always have everything out so that their latest customers have access to what they are used to having... More

I have been here a couple times now following my grandkids' soccer games. Good food with a fair selection of beer. Everything I have tried has been good to very good. Since I've only been here following soccer games, all I can testify to is that kids love it and the kids are able to get fairly noisy outside without... More

This has grown to be THE PLACE to go for lunch for many in the working community. Food is tasty, and, service is friendly and quick. They have a great menu and a salsa bar. Prices are moderate, but worth the value.

Always fast and fresh food, cold Pacificos and a nice patio outside. Almost like being in Mazatlan but no beach!

I love this place because it has a huge menu & a great condiment bar with fresh tortilla chips! The menu is on the wall & easily read. You can order a full dinner plate or just a taco. The shrimp dinner plates are very good. Great staff. You order at the cash register & pay, then sit where you... More

I eat here quite often usually for lunch. I became addicted to Taqueria style Mexican food while living in the Central Valley during the 90's. After moving up to P'Ville the choices were extremely limited, mainly drive to Sacramento. Anyhow my favorite meals here are carnitas plate or burritto, I love the fact that the pork is never greasy.
