Called for a Saturday night reservation and on arrival was pleasantly greeted and a table for 4 was waiting. We were taken care of by the pleasant and efficient staff. Enjoyed the artichoke heart/feta dip as an appetizer. Pork tenderloin with grilled polenta was excellent. Vegetable lasagna was good. Steak "Memphis" was good although paled in comparison to the pork.... More

We travelled to Placerville with our dog so we couldn't eat at the Heyday Cafe, but we got some food to go and took it back to our B&B. The salads were excellent and the heirloom gazpacho soup--delicious.

We love this place. Great beer, nice wine selection, and gourmet Pizza, also some really nice apetizers and a few select dinner menu items. We have never had a pad experience here and have been at least 10 times or more over the past couple of years. Chris is an awesome manager and makes you feel right at home, Ben... More

Whenever I visit a friend in Placerville, we inevitably end up eating lunch at Heyday Café. On my last visit, I had a cup of bisque, a Caesar salad, and a glass of bubbly—all very good. I would like to see appetizers on the menu, but what they do offer is fresh and well made.

Very busy casual place with excellent food (we especially enjoyed the pizzas) and outstanding service.

We have eaten here at least 5 times, and have never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Eaten mostly at lunch time, tho made it for brunch once. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The tall tables aren't as comfortable to sit at as the normal ones, but they are ok if the room is limited... More

After several visits to Heyday Cafe, I have to say that it is highly over rated.Although they try to be a gourmet, trendy establishment, their food is lack luster. The quality does not match the written discription on the menu. The wine selection is usually good though.

We dined here on Sunday for the fourth time, I believe. The food is always good, although a little pricey for the area, the portions are well-sized. We have had a couple dishes that weren't executed as well as they could have been, but always tasty. Sometimes things sound like a good idea, but just don't work (like bleu cheese... More

This is a really small cramped space so your chair is continually bumped by people squeezing by, but the food is outstanding. Service is ok but not superb. We enjoy coming in for a quick lunch and always enjoy our selections.

While in town we decided to grab dinner at this place. It was pretty much right across from our hotel (Historic Cary House Hotel) and was very convenient to walk to. When we first walked in the place was packed. The host/server said it would be about an hour so we put our name on the list and came back... More
