Great salads

Very good salads. They have been around for a long time and that says a lot. Locals eat there a lot. With many places to choose from, they are pleased with a lot of repeating customers.

Right on Main St. in Placerville. Good, varied menu; great service; wonderful food. Inside area rather limited in seating, so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little.

Really enjoyed our meal at the Heyday. Definitely a good place to stop if you're going somewhere on 50. I had a spicy Hawaiian pizza and the poke appetizer. My wife had a huge Greek salad and the baked Brie. Everything was excellent. My small pizza really stood out, delicious with a thin crispy crust, and the perfect size for... More

I and my teenage son tried this cafe by happenstance, it was there and we were hungry. Nice place, went in, my estimate immediately switched to "good restaurant". Understated, upscale-cafe, comfortable atmosphere. The server was completely unobtrusive, attentive, intelligent -- very, very good. NIck found pizza in a little box on the second page, among the more usual good-restaurant fare.... More

We spent the night in Placerville on our way to Lake Tahoe, and were eager to find someplace low-key to relax after a trying day. The Heyday Cafe fit the bill. Their menu is upscale casual; I wanted something fairly light, and very much enjoyed a prosciutto crostini and Caesar salad. My dining partners each had pizza--one the homemade sausage,... More

This is one of my wife and my favorite places to eat in Placerville, the only downside is the dining room is very small, so there isn't alot of room. Food is great and a nice atmosphere looking out over main street

Love it! Nice location, excellent service, small cosy dinning room with excellent wine selection. Always a good lunch.

Great attentive customer service from server. Portions were gigantic. Loved the baked brie! Pizza was ok as well as Cesar salad but the chicken in the Cesar could've been better.

Great food. Love the lobster bisque. There were four of us, we all picked different selection and we were all happy with our choices. This is our 2nd visit to Heyday.
