family run, authentic, LONG waits, priced right. what's not to like? All of the food is good - Tampiquena is very good.
Little place with tight parking ( more parking nearby), but the good Mexican food is here. Nice combos and cute, quaint surroundings.
Went with friend as they insisted It's a small mom an pop place which is usually busy as it's really cheap Food is ok and has lard all over it but did taste ok Nothing great but good for budget
This is a wonderful family restaurant. I'm always amazed & delighted to see how many people of different cultures and ages are relishing the freshly prepared food at El Farolito. The dishes we ordered - Beef Machaka for my wife and Chicken Machaka for me - were absolutely delicious ... by far the best Mexican food I've had in Orange... More
Nice little place always full of people waiting to eat.....Love it as really close to home and can walk..The food is always hot and very very good....Love the homemade tortillas, salsa is awesome always bring home enough for lunch next day.....
This place is excellent! Much better than the El Farolito Jr location in downtown Fullerton, where i had previously eaten. My gf and I shared the Carnitas plate and an extra order or tortillas, and that was plenty food, since they of course kept coming with endless chips and dip too. The carnitas were very flavorful, as were the sides... More
Best Mexican restaurant in Placentia; real favorite of locals. The rice is really good; salsa is perfect. Really love the Chili Colorado. Burritos are great, too. It really is our local gem, and the polar opposite of El Torito (Yorba Linda at Kraemer, if you're looking for a chain restaurant); you walk in, give the guy behind the counter your... More
We have been going to El Farolito for years and recommend it highly to anyone visiting the Placentia area. Everything is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the large portions! Favorites are the carnitas, the chicken enchiladas, the chicken tacos, and the unbelievably huge nachos plate (definitely meant for sharing!). The food has been prepared by hands... More
Love their chiliquilies, beans and rice. Their homemade salsa and warm chips are addicting! My hubby always gets the shrimp fajitas, tastey and full plate of shrimp, bellpeppers, onions along with rice and beans. Horchata is the perfect tasting recipe I've had. It can get crowded at times but it's well worth the wait. It's in old town Placentia. Love... More
