very homey-good, no nonsense food. Uses fresh, local berries in their recipes. Very popular on weekends, especially.

We tried Penny's for the first time on our many visits to Pismo Beach. The food here was great and no one will ever accuse Penny on skimping on portions. The service was great and the staff were very accommodating and patient considering we were dining with my wife's grandparents who require assistance. I highly recommend Penny's omelet and substituting... More

This place is really small with only 12 tables inside and a tiny little patio but it is a great place to get real home cooked meal. A true little locals café! All the staff were very energetic, friendly, and attentive. I even saw another customer who didn't like her order and the waiter let her order something else without... More

We were introduced to Penny's by locals which is always a good sign. Owned and operated by a family they take pride in both service and quality. Breakfasts are delicious, my husband lives their Chile Verde Omelet. Their home fries and toast awesome. Yes toast! Make sure you check their board for daily specials. I highly recommend Penny ' s... So good but it's so little of a place it's totally worth the wait outside. Once you get in you forgot you waited those are the places you want to go to.

Penny's is a nice little place for a bite to eat. Clam chowder is full of clams, potatoes and beautifully thick. The chowder itself is enough reason to go to Penny's, but there are also tasty burgers, salads and fries. I have only eaten there twice but both times the food was excellent. The staff seem a little over-whemled but... More

We were going to eat at The Honeymoon Cafe, but they do not serve pancakes except on the weekend... or so we were told. They said, "Try Penny's". Glad we did. Very good breakfast, even with the 4th of July tourist traffic. The honey-wheat pancakes are delicious. We ate on the outdoor patio, and asked for the heater to be... More

Little cafe, prices were more than reasonable & service was very friendly & spot on with order. Menu was surprisingly unique combined with delicious. Ordered the egg and linguica breakfast, since I live in Texas and it's hard to find linguica. REALLY big serving of the sausage, Mom and I could have shared one breakfast, but oh well. Service fast and friendly. Kept the coffee cups full. Had a nice chat with a lady sitting at a table across the way! That just added... More

Was not as good as first time sorry to say! I ordered exactly same thing as the last time but this time scrambled eggs were kind of slimy not well done as I ask for and was shorted 1 piece of bacon. Now to be fair they brought properly cooked eggs and the missing bacon but it still affects my... More
