Teppan style dining is as much for the show as for the food. We started out with drinks and some excellent sushi, then the chef Tiger rolled up his cart and went to work. He was very entertaining as he sliced, diced, and grilled. The steak was quite tender, the scallops were HUGE, and the shrimp and veggies were delicious.... More

We come here 1-2 times annually as we grew up on bennihanas and this is the closest thing to it.... The last two visits have been such a disappointment. The women servers for teppan service are so rude ans make u feel so rushed. The cooks are in and out and do way less of a show. The food is... More

I've had the cheap knock off's but this place does it right every single time. Our favorite's are the firecracker, hot night and caterpillar roll. I love spicy tuna when it's prepared correctly and they do just that. A tip though, definitely call ahead for a reservation to the 5 cities drive location, the oak park is more for locals... More

We were there for sushi. The gyoza was ok, the sunamono salad was pretty good. My spouse loved his sashimi, and my brother and I liked our sushi a lot (except the spicy salmon hand roll.) We couldn't quite figure out how they got the rolls out so fast. We would definitely go back- the view was amazing and the... More

Food and service were both better than average. Lots of flavor and generous portions in the various dishes. I have eaten here twice and both service and food was consistent - not brilliant but not a 1 or a 2 either

The reason I gave the rating of poor instead of terrible is because the service was decent. I live in the area and was very dissapointed. The flavors were bland and the wasabi wasn't even hot. The best part about our meal was the free edaname that came with the meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, unfortunately.... More

Million dollar view of the ocean! Always fun to sit at the teppan grill and watch the chef do his magic with the food. If you can get a reservation so you can watch the sunset.

There is good and not so good here. The sushi is usually very good and the service is fast. But the service can be SO fast that you feel as though they are begging you to leave so they can turn the table. They provide a "birthday song" which is so loud and obnoxious that it prevents any conversation by... More

We met a friend for sushi at Yanagi's in Pismo Beach while vacationing in the area. Absolutely the WORST sushi I have ever had. My boyfriend and I ordered the Special Combo which included 8 pieces of chef's choice sushi and a choice of roll--we chose the Spider Roll, normally one of my favorites at other restaurants. Yuck. The whole... More
