Stayed for the weekend

Our first stop for what we heard was the best clam chowder around. It was so good and filling it's all I could eat. A meal in itself I didn't love the decor it's dated and needs work but many times it's not about that. I will say one of the better Clam Chowders I've had.

This is one of my favorites in CA for their clam chowder and other seafood offerings. Clam chowder is loaded with clams, veggies, potato, and bacon. The steamed clams, fried oysters, and fish tacos are also delicious.

Had a family wedding in Pismo. Group of us went to dinner at Steamers. Ordered the sea bass for $22. Got a piece of fish that was the size of my iPhone 5. Nothing else on the plate but parsley. The fish was dry and not worth the money. Not going here again. So many other choices in Pismo.

The food is good but will not knock your socks off. What makes Steamers great is the view of the ocean and its atmosphere.

Food just average, but main thing is they do NOT know how to set a table. Forks on right side, knife on left!!!! The ahi sandwich was overcooked albacore. The crab and lobster roll had no lobster in it!!!

we hosted a group of 20 out of town friends here & were not disappointed. The food, service & spectacular view is amazing & we were lucky to get Polly again as our ever so friendly, energetic, excellent server. Not one complaint about anything~ the food was fresh, hot & delicious and served beautifully. We were turned away at two... More

We decided to check out the happy hour menu in the lounge as a way of seeing if this is a restaurant we want check out further while we are in town. We found it to be excellent. The 1/2 lb baby clams were prepared in a garlic, butter and wine sauce that was outstanding! We also had the 1/2... More

By reading trip advisor we found out that steamers is known for very good food particularly their appetizers as well as their happy hour drinks so we decided to stop by . I'm really glad we did because we had some great happy hour drinks, bloody Mary for me and margarita for my wife. The appetizers we shared were shrimp... More

This restaurant is a typical resort fish house. The clam chowder was good and they make several very nice salads. If you get a table near a window you will have a beautiful view. We were able to see dolphins playing in the surf line at the sunset. There may be better restaurants around, but this one is consistently OK... More
