My wife and I were wine tasting in the San Luis Obispo County. We headed southwest and tried about five wineries. Mid-way through we stopped into Pismo Beach and came upon Cracked Crab. What a delightful restaurant this was. We both shared “The House Specialty - Big Bucket For Two”. We were not disappointed. Each item was very good. In... More

The Cracked Crab is one of those rare places that still prints a daily menu. This one feature by itself qualifies CC for special attention. It's a small but pleasantly busy restaurant near the pier. From the woman tending the bar who greeted us with a huge and obviously very genuine smile, to the gentleman who bused our table, CC... More

Amazing!! Quaint local restaurant. Delicious opeilo and Baird eye. We ordered a bucket and the boil with crab sausage and potatoes was dumped on our table. It was fun for the whole family!! Excellent local wine and beer. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend!!

I love crabs and the were the best Alaskan Bairdi Crab, I have ever had.... Crab cakes were awesome...not breaded and good amount of crab meat. The host was very knowledgeable about the menu and her suggestions were fantastic. Would love to go back to this place.

My husband and I eat there every time we visit Pismo Beach. Usually we go there for lunch. The clam chowder is the best, and this time my husband had the Cajun style chowder and was just as impressed. Excellent wait staff with an easy and friendly atmosphere. I especially love that the owner is a parrothead, witnessed by the... More

Found this after a walk about in Pismo, on the main street set back from the beach after initially trawling the seafront for somewhere decent to eat without success. House special is a table full of cooked shellfish that they call a bucket. Looked fabulous, though a little expensive based upon market price. Had a great meal, staff very friendly,... More

We already had 'good seafood' the night before, so we were looking for something casual for lunch. Most people were ordering "the bucket" but we thought it was too much for us. My fish & chips were only o.k., but my husband's crab roll was soooo good!! Perfect for people like my husband who wants to eat crab, but don't... More
