We've never had a better seafood dinner -- or a more fun one -- than we had at the Cracked Crab. It's pretty hilarious how they serve you the crab dinner in a bucket... and just dump it on the table. My wife had two kinds of crab in her bucket (you have a choice of six, with andouille sausage... more

Four of us went for lunch and we were all pleased with our meals. Excellent dishes though a tad high in price for me. I'm not saying it's not worth it, it was. It's not something I could do weekly. more

The seafood bucket was excellent, although it could have used a bit more seafood in it, given the steep price. I'd definitely go back, but only if it was a special occasion or a rich friend was buying. Honestly, I'd happily pay their prices, if I got a bit more food for the money. more

We stopped here for dinner on our 1 night stay in Pismo. This was the highlight of our trip there. We ordered the bucket for 2 as well as chowder and lobster bisque. Everything was delicious! Great, attentive and friendly staff!! The waiter (Joe) is from the northeast and was wicked good. He even gace use some souviners for our... more

We enjoyed an evening at this restuarant. Loved the atmosphere and the idea of the food dumped on the table. The only problem I have with this is that the tables are covered with paper - that's okay, but they put the menu's, etc on the table where you eat. I don't like the idea of other people handling the... more

The food and service was great. They had a varity of crabs to chose from. My wife and I went for lunch, so the Bucket for 2 would have been too much food. We ordered 1 king crab dinner, cup of crab bisque (the best ever), and crab cake (best ever) appetizer to share, and we were stuffed. The food... more

Its a fun place to bring kids or people from the midwest I suppose... But Its really expensive, and a pretty poor value. The crab is not fantastic, I've had much better from petes out on the avila (port san luis) pier... The fixins are pretty tastey, but certainly don't make it worth the price. I only go if someone... more

They literally dump your food onto the table. The mood is festive, the eats are plentiful and terriffic, and after dinner you can stroll along the beach at sunset. It is a little pricey to make a habit of it, but absoulutely if you're thinking about it, go for it. more
