Avoid the queues

If you are staying nearby in a hotel you can go online and get details of the delivery service which costs $6. They came to our room. The chowder arrives hot and delicious but the fried food can be a little soggy, but still edible. They also supply all necessary sauces and accompaniments.

Splash was a recommended restaurant by a student at Cal Poly and it was a winner. We all had the clam chowder. We were on a 10 day coastal trip and had it every where but Splashes was the best. It is a small, fast food venue but don't let that fool you! I'd fly back right now for another,... More

Splash has great clam chowder. Be sure to ask for either claim or Shrimp and crab (surimani). Both are delicious. There is usually a long wait during peak dinner time. Not much space for seating. You can order ahead and pick up your order in another line.

The reviews of this place is spot on! This was our first time trying this place, but not our last. The whole family liked the chowder in a bowl (many people were ordering the chili in a bowl) and the fish sandwich. The chowder was creamy and full of seafood flavor. The bread bowl was awesome. I don't think they... More

It did not live upto the reviews. Maybe because we went on a Sunday afternoon, but the ahi tuna sandwich was just OK. The ahi was overcooked. The clam chowder bread bowl was good, although, we go it to go, and when we emptied the cup into the bread bowl, it came up to only half. The fish of the... More

Late in town, looking for good food quick. Grilled cheeses were nice and crispy on the outside, grilled nicely. Our adult tastes really would have gone crazy if the cheese was Tillamook, but it was American. For little kids tastes, it would have been awesome, although parents might have to cut the crusts off (and eat them, maybe.) The salad... More

Was recommended to go here for the clam chowder, but ended up getting the fish and chips which had thin batter, chewy fish, and soggy fries.

I really am not a clam chowder enthusiast...but this place has the best! Bread bowl chowder is good til the last drop and crumb of bread. If the line is long when you get there, get in line anyways...worth the wait for chowder bowl alone.

We tasted the clam chowder at several places during our stay and this one was by far the winner. It was rich and creamy, not too heavy on the potatoes and full of delicate clam meat. Unfortunately, the fried calamari was very tough and rubbery. Seating is also very limited.
